Organic grow...ph problems? calcium deficiency?

I top dressed on 1/25. I started seeing some “burnt” tips and first symptoms on 2/25. After my top dress was a really good growth period. Things looked really healthy.

I put the spikes in probably mid feb and did 2 aerobic ewc teas feb 7 and 14. It had to have been something with those. I think I was overwatering a bit. It seemed that the pots were dry, but I pulled that back to every other day max. If let them go once to a third day and the plant was pretty droopy
From that I would think the roots might be burning a bit or lockout. Since it was right after the EWC teas I would guess the microbes really went to town breaking down the top dressing you added before. As the microbes work they put off heat so the roots could of literally been burning. The pH can also fluctuate during this process.

When I top dress now, I premix my EWC, pumice, and dry amendments and let it cook for 3-5 days or so. Longer is fine too. It literally gets hot. I mixed up some a couple days ago and it's hot today. In a few days it will be cooled off a bit. It's crazy how hot the soil can actually get due to the microbial action.

That must be what happened.
Having a potassium def though. In theory, without the teas- just water, I should be able to get things leveled off??

They may be. Hard to tell, as the leaves on that plant are pretty fried towards the top.

It could be a lockout from too much of a certain type of nutrient that's locking out the K too. All the different nutrients need to be in a certain balance.

At this point I would imagine that anything from the top dress or teas would have mellowed.
I guess I’m trying to find the best tack. Again, seems to be just kiss—maybe just water for the rest of the grow? Those spikes will be releasing a pretty balanced nutrient spectrum

What were you putting in the EWC tea?

just keep giving her plain water, with microbe drenches. it will balance out. dont let the pots ever get dry ever.. hard to do in 7 gal air pots. they dry quick. I give anything under 10gal water every day. in the 7gal I run they get around a quart in them every day. 3gal get a half a quart every day. dry in organics = dead microbiology, dead micros = imbalance. obv dont water every day in pots 10 gal plus. I only water my 15 gal 1 gallon every other day

plain water, microbes. you've given them a lot to work with and it will last you until harvest, good luck <3

its 100% imbalance, microbes do the PH work, no need to ph. I wouldn't pay attention to the run off PH imo. EWC, all the cal, will register high. drench with microbes again, recharge is okay, if can switch to root wise, very comprehensive. anyway plain water, and micros, and proper watering tek will balance them out. I promise

tends to pour out the side, and dry too quickly, again dry spots and a dry medium means the microbiology is dead. do you have a cover crop and mulch?

So many roads!
I thought part of my problem might have been from watering every day! That’s what I was doing, and went to every other day. I don’t have a cover crop, but I have a layer of bark chips. I do have some recharge and can water with that if that helps

Could be too much kelp. Maybe too much sodium.
Hmm. Yeah. That makes sense. The weird thing is that I have 3 plants and it’s by far the most severe in this one. They all had the same treatment. Only difference on this is strain-g13 and a slightly different base soil. Ran out of ffof so used some black gold organic

so many roads lol, find what works for you, def can be done in the smaller pots, just worked a little different than the big ones. you can water everyday as long as the volume in which you water isn't too much. recharge will work fine, give her a nice drench, then plain water, then another drench 3 days later, then plain water, the leaves effected wont change bak to color but you'll notice the buds will get their vigor back.

Thanks! Lots of kindness for those of us trying to get our footing. I apologized to the plants for my overzealous and often clumsy caretaking.

Does a quart get anywhere near the bottom of a 7 gallon pot ? I don't think so. Probably doesn't even break the half way point unless you pouring it in one spot. My 5 gallon pot takes about 3 quarts with no runoff. I let it dry out then water again which is usually every 3 days. Am I doing it wrong ?

hehe they understand, if anything their sacrifice was made for the future crops you tackle and the help you learn. they know what they are doing <3 keep it up tho! give it a full week.

no it doesn't, but it will every day, and will keep the soil saturated. if you let it completely dry, then your just killing your microbiology
