Organic soil led grow

I've been watching you... All of you. Like a sponge I have sat at the bottom of this abyss of knowledge. You inventors, creators, horticulturalists, hobbiests, spiritualist, revolutionists, tinkerers, fittlers, growers and dreamers have drowned me in what I filter and have added to my own library of unpricreable wealth of ingenuity. For years I have read everything I could get my eyes to focus on, but never a word or mention I was ever there. But now it's my turn to see what knowledge I can bestow upon the masses. What I most look for is the criticism that will help me sow a seed unbeatable in its own right. Criticism is neither good nor bad only an option based on an alternate perspective, and I welcome that. This is my first posting I hope you enjoy. And I hope I inspire those who sponge knowledge like I did to write their own posts to show different and new experiences.
I am a simple man. I don't watch what I eat, I tinker (and by that I build hydroponic systems to see if I can get it to work), my mind and body are rarely in the same place (daydreaming), and I love to grow- organic. I have followed Subcool since like 2010, which when I say it sounds like last year till I realize it's been 4. I am by no means good at growing yet nor am I awful, my knowledge and practice aren't really lining up. I've had about 6 harvests with moderate product being the best. I seem to have a highly unlucky cycle. I digress, Subcool's supersoil has been my prime resource for soil. I always build my own soil using his recipe. I check for updates regularly in fear of missing out on the latest change to add power to my grow. For my first 3 runs I ran it by the book recipe but recently I started swapping ingredients for others, I researched, that do similar tasks and adding things that I have been informed are beneficial, i.e. Kelp, crab, and alfalfa. Coincidentally Subcool already updated using those so I felt better doing it then saying I was on paper. This is my grow lets get to it.
-I have 2 1200watt MarsII LEDs in a 10x5 lighthouse grow tent
-exhaust fan is ~395 cfm hydro farm and intake is a simple 45 cfm booster fan using a dust shroom for clean air
-I use an Ipower carbon filter and two htg supply 16"oscillating fans
-I have a co2 tank but I'll just use that for flowering why waste it when it's unnecessary
-I'm working with 18 3 gallon mad farmer fabric pots
-there is also a office humidifier and a humidity and temperature reader I placed in the room

Pictures will come if there seems to be interest taken in my grow.

You can call me papa if you choose or swift. I'm it older than 25 that's just part of my last name and swiftkillpapa is kinda a gaming handle I've had since I was 16

Someone took the "grow journal" and added a lot of diary to it. I cannot wait to see the end of this fairy tale.

In reality you sound great and I can't wait to see pics

There will be 6 strains of 3 each. I'm not entirely sure yet. I grow with a buddy and he's getting the close because I put up the tent and made the soil. So he can deal with getting the clones. When I get them next week be assured I'll let you know

So my only issue is those extension cords outside the tent. It's cluttered and I hate it. Also the temp and humidity was taken after 30 min of closed tent running

Is that a typo on the booster fab at 45cfm? Seems like that would cause issues unless there is also passive intake. That said, never used co2 and I understand that really changes how you manage air circulation.

No I think that's rights it's one of those small 4inch silver ones. It's not very strong it's just there to assist intake. I've never used co2 what do you think I should do about the intake with it hbbum?

I have not used it, but if you are pumping in CO2, you don't want to exhaust it all out of the room right after it is being released. So ideally, you would run once fan that pulls through the light but external air only (not air from in the grow room) and then I am not sure, I would expect you would use an extraction fan only when you are not pumping in CO2. I am sure they have fancy equipment that will help you control that :D

Actually ya I made a really clunky system. The exhaust fan turns of for 30 min while the co2 is on for 15 min. 15 on 15 for saturation then exhaust for 30 min and repeat but I use 2 timers and an extra extension cord. It's not the most convent method. But should I also connect my intake on that function?

I would think so, otherwise you could have a real smell issue on your hands. Could be as simple as a vent that only opens when there is negative pressure. Someone with co2 experience may be able help you a lot more.

Hope you can read file time stamps.
I haven't posted anything in awhile mostly bc I was embarrassed by what I was doing. It was slow to grow that and pest issues. Fucking spidermites which seems to be a recurring problem. But this is then so far rather sad for being 3 months old. I gassed the tent for the mites. Installed a.c.making that my exhaust now and left a 4 inch dustshroom for my passive intake. For the most part it's 1 day general organics 2 days pain water feeding. Soak thoroughly and wait for them to need more. I foliar feed with kelp and a product called liquid ladybug for controlling the mites till I can afford to buy 2 more gas bombs. Note to self. Always gas twice. The second time 2 days after the first.

Just another picture that got missed. It's picking up since that a.c.dropped my day temp to ~77° and night ~68° that more than anything has kept those mites dormant. Kinda sucks. But the other stuff that takes up my time is my building of hydro systems. I have a simultaneous grow that's in a diy system. It's a hybrid of dwc low pressure aero and recycling system so kinda undercurrent. But that's a stretch now that I think about it. Those pants too had issues. Leaks, stunned growth and a full hermi. Got fucked by the dude I bought clones from. Also it's Fucking hard to post this shit from my phone. Being that my phone, a Samsung, doesn't just send files to my iPad. I could email ya but why not make it one pain instead of 2. I'll post my hydro stuff right now

So that's the hydro in week 4 of flower. I feel it's slightly behind. Like shouldn't it be thicker with more resin. Anyway any advice will be well taken. The one thing I'll change next time is not having such a big pool at the bottom of the buckets. Makes it a dwc mostly and essentially the spayers are useless for it but whatever. The hydro is the full line of house and garden as per their nutrient calc tells me to feed. Next post I'll show my next project.

20140723_094049.jpg 20140723_094057.jpg 20140723_094239.jpg This is my next project. Just taken from the aeromist idea. The only thing I didn't like if the res and sprinklers are in the same place a wanted my roots away from the res water. The other neat thing is no leaks (if sealed well) because nothing really leaves that area. No pipes going to other buckets like my last one. Plus those are a fit size I could realistically fit a large number of those anywhere and have them be easily removed if needed. I could do one big to Idk 10 sog plants if so desired. I like the simplicity. But after this grow and I get some bills to buy stuff, best be sure to see a sweet aeropod. If you haven't read up on TAG from podracer I highly recommend it. For no other reason that to get to thinking about different styles of hydro. I mean it is what NASA uses in space so... Just be open invent and allow me to absorb your work. I'll post again when I'm closer to finishing the hydro grow

I must inform this threat I started of the news. After attempting so long to tolerate the person I was growing with, I could not any longer. His rude immature and complete neglect for the well being of the grow and it's future has led me to throw my arms up and say fuck it and walk away. I hang my head from the loss of such wonderful girls to a belligerent asshole. Lessened learned those who think yelling the loudest are the rightest need to be avoided and never done business with.
