True.
I had one of my guys take a customer home one morning when she dropped off her car, and I knew he smoked regularly in his S-10, but even though I didn't smoke at that time, I couldn't tell when I got in.
He, like me always rolled with the windows down, rain or shine, and parked at work with windows down as well.
As this 70+ year old lady was about to climb in, I hear her shout "Whatchall been doin????? Smokin chronic up in here????"

Yeah, my wife has the nose too. She can tell when I'm trimming or have the plants out of the room. Takes about 15 minutes for the ventilation to clear my office, sometimes longer depending on what I'm doing. It's funny how we get used to the smell and lose sensitivity. That's why I vape, the odor is next to nothing. The door doesn't open with kids in the house.

She's how I found out that the house a/c was sucking the air out of my attic through the grow closet and into the house. With the ventilation off at lights out, the house central air was using my exhaust vent as a fresh air intake! Been running the ventilation 24/7 since to keep a negative pressure in there. Need to install a flapper on the exhaust port to fix it.

Doesn't really mater too much now with the fan running at 30% power. I'm not losing that much cool air and it's only going to get stinker and more humid in there from now on. My next upgrade will be to duct the scrubbed exhaust from my grow closet into my non-air-conditioned sun room. We have a window unit in there but rarely run it. I basically would reclaim all my air conditioning and heating! Save the environment bro, time to go green.

I have not even connected my scrubber yet but I get a hint of the smell in my garage where I vent. Up close they are a little rank, particularly when I touch them at all but the smell coming from the exhaust has a much more subtle skunkyness to it.

I need to connect the scrubber tonight for sure. Temps have been super mild where I live, it didn't even get past the mid 70s yesterday. Gotta love living at the beach :)

well I can hear the seagull from here, but its still stinking hot with 27C or so, first now at 9 a clock in the evening the sun begin to go down and I can feel the cooler temps thanks God, sure my plants also like it, 84-86F under the LEDs is a bit to much for my liking tho compared to my 600W HPS I shouldn't complain

So, my updates are going here from now on and my other thread will have a detour sign pointing here for the subs. That will make my life easier.

Thought of a solution today for my ventilation issue. I want to shut my room in-line fan down on lights out and have it cycle every hour for thirty minutes. But I found out that when I shut the ventilation system off, my house a/c sucks the air through the attic, fan, and grow closet. This creates a nice marijuana odor throughout the house! Not good for a stealth grow!

So instead of making it too complicated, I thought about adding a flapper at the end of my 4" exhaust ducting in the attic. Someone has to make this flapper for clothes dryers that port out of homes to keep critters from entering right? I'm on lookout if anyone know of anything I can use, let me hear about it. Thx.
Hey Prosperian, you could move to Washington and ditch the stealth grow. It might be time to come out of the closet. We always welcome good people like you here. What's crazy, is when my friends come over and go to the garage they comment on the great smell and I look at them like they are crazy, I don't smell anything. But I guess that's because I spent so much time with them that it has become a normal scent, So it don't stand out to me.

Maybe I'm different, but I seem to like the smell of growing or cured bud better than the smell of bud being smoked.

Or maybe I should move to Texas, I heard they grow things big in Texas, I might just fit in. LOL

G3K, good to see you here bro. Popped over to your thread the other day, girls and the room are looking good.

"I don't smell anything." Yeah, it's like cologne, have to switch out the fragrances or you become acclimated to the scent. I've seen commercials for room plug-ins scent fresheners, basically, they have two different fragrances that alternate so you can always smell it in your home.

I'm not from here, but I got here as quick as I could. Wife is a Texan and except for the occasional dodging of tornadoes, it's pretty decent living. Maybe another home outside the US one day, but that will be after the kids are grown and have families of their own. I do like the wines from Washington, but I have not had the privilege to visit, yet.

Lucky bastard. Haven't seen the 70's since March. The gulf is over eight hours away and our seafood has wings. Everything is flown in.
