Good discussion on LEDs, thanks for sharing the info Slip. Damn things are so expensive, but once you make the investment, growing gets easier (less water, less electricity, less heat, less headaches, and you have less crap in your closet or tent. You know me, I like things clean, LED helps me get there in style.

Well...Over the years, she is pretty much the only strain to stay in my garden...I have flowered her out roughly 8 times.
The reason I have kept her for so long is because well...she yields amazingly, frosts up like non-other, and here is the biggest reason: She is the BEST depression medicine ever.
Within a hit or two it's a guaranteed ear-to-ear smile. I LOVE IT! The taste is very unique as well, most say that JTR is a lemon strain, but I swear the cut I have has a hint of banana.
Either way, this Sativa-head buzz high is one that sticks out in my mind. Energetic, happy, and productive.

Well if I had a 600W HPS running and just wanted to cover a bit more space at the end of the room and a few plants more I guess I would look at sum thing like this

80x3W Cree LED chips with double lenses and a actual watt draw on 140W it trow out +1100 Umol at 1 ft distance, thats equal to the Sun !
I would guess that easily could cover them 2x2 ft at 18" inch distant with +800 Umol (enough to grow dank Bud`s) and cover two plants more with some side lightning from the HPS
Note: Im in Scandinavia/EU so I would order from that shop or at least some where in EU as there is some tax to pay if Im ordering form the US I dunno where your located exactly but take that in to consideration, shipping and custom tax can often ruin a good deal and it often pay of to order more local, also when you think about warranty aso

I love it, seems great. But I do live in the US and something like that might cost to much to get over here.
I shop from Amazon a lot, and they have a lot of 240w panels on their, but they range from $200 to $400+ and I don't know what I'm suppose to be looking for. Seems like a lot of light for 1 3ft plant that's 2ft by 2ft.

It says it can cover up to a 4 by 4' space, don't you think the 150w would be enough? Again I know nothing about LEDs lol.

Maybe, specially now you do have some side lightning from the HID, up to you, after all its your wallet, but then agin, its "only" 1/3 more for double the light, and the core cover is`t 4x4 that I can promise you, the manufactore often have a tendency to talk the product up a bit, but yea 220$ is better then 360$ and it do give you a change to add a bit of the cool LED color to your growth
and Im sure cover the edges pretty good, and it is easy to upgrade later on and buy one more if you like the result and some time in the future find your wallet full agin, and even tho the total cost then will be more its nice enough to have multiply panels, much more easy to cover the plants as LEDs is pretty one directed compared to HIDs and as a side bonus you still have a panel if one fail, up to you but IMO that one with 50x3W chips (92W) won't cover much more then 1x2 ft atlest not if you look for similar results as from the 600W

Alright, thanks. Yeah I'll probably just end up getting the 300w one, just got to wait a little bit for some more funds. Should be plenty good enough so I can fit 3, maybe 4, plants in 5g pots. lol yea, I also have room to work with, but my two panels do cover the space for 4 larges plants and that is enough for me to cover my demand of herb, one panel did`t cut it, could hardly keep two larges plants, but hang side by side I can now easily cover my 1x1M and keep 4 larges plants or two and some clones Etc and in the end I also have to consider power, I run a total of 472W now and more like 500 with the ventilation, that I can work with even tho my cost of power in my part of the world is crazy and the "taxes" is more the the actual power cost ! but is still less then 1/5ft of the cost if I should buy the herb`s

Hell yeah. I'm just trying to stretch my room a big so I can add another plant. My 600w HPS right now covers 4x2 just fine and love it.
Where I am electricity is pretty cheap. My 600w HPS + my 200watts of T5s for veg run me between 14-17$ a month. It's pretty nice haha.

Here are my Bay11's under led's.
They seem to be quite happy. I really can't say enough about A51 led's. They have a nice intense light that easily penetrates through the canopy. Both my panels are still on 130W, I'm gonna have to pull down the canopy, and raise the panels some before flipping them to 190W. We'll see what kind of flowers they produce.

yea well my 500W in the flowering room and 200ish watt in the Veg room (T5HOs) run me like 80$ a month but that is about the same as a week of smoke and the same I earn by 3 hrs of work after tax (just so you have some thing to compare with) a 20 pack of smokes cost like +8$ and a liter of gas is like 2$
so in the end I use maybe 120ish $ a month all in all for this great hobby and at the same time have as much smoke then I can smoke and maybe even a bit more, alternative I would have to drive 10 miles and buy it from criminals and supporting them, at the risk of getting busted on the way and pay +400$ a month to have just enough smoke

That is sooo sexy Slip! Is that your Skunk#1? I have 3 fem seeds of my old favorite, and you're making it hard not to pop em. I'm starting some CC Original Sour Diesel, HSO Sour Diesel#2, and a Female Seeds Purple Maroc to run 12/12fs. After I space out my led's to spec I'll have quite a bit more space. I'll pop a fem Skunk#1, and grow her under the led's 12/12fs in your, and Prosperians honor. One of my all time favorite strains under your guys light technology. I could never thank you two enough for pushing the led's, I really like them. If I can achieve the results you two get, I'll be more than happy with the investment. Plus I'll be getting more panels in the future completely replacing the hid.

The AS are throwing out nice crystals, reminds me of the White Lav from my last grow.
