Outdoor odor control with a greenhouse

Would a diy greenhouse fitted with a carbon filter and fan control odors at all or would I be wasting my time? Worried about neighborhood kids following their noses to me lucky charms. Also don’t wanna stink up the neighborhood period. Anything else I could do? Plant a shit load of lavender or something? I’ve got a massive yard but the only spot with sunlight is pretty close to my back fence.

If the greenhouse is relatively airtight, it should work fine. Obvious cant be completely airtight because it has to cycle the air, but a fan and carbon filter would trap most of the odors. Enough to keep you under the radar anyway.

Thanks. That’s the answer I was looking for. Was just gonna frame some walls and wrap it and toss a scrubber in one corner.

I’m guessing there really isn’t another way to prevent stinking up the hood?

None that I would consider effective either in practice or cost. You'll probably be a couple weeks into flowering before the smell is intense enough to justify it. Which means you will only have to run it for 4-6 weeks probably.

I dont believe it will be very effective. You are going to have to open the ends and sides to keep your greenhouse from getting to hot. My hoop house is opened up with screens on both ends and has roll up sides with screens well. . On warm days its hot in there even with fans running. On hot days if the ends and sides were closed it would get hot enough to do damage to, or kill the plants.
I would go with the lavender first. But in the end lavender isn't going to cut it. Electric fencing strung around the top of your fence will more than likely deter kids from following their noses too far.
