Oxyponics pro 6 - first grow

HEY EVERYBODY IT HAS TAKEN AWHILE BUT I AM FINALLY ABOUT TO START MY FIRST HYDROPONIC GROW. I HAVE DECIDED TO GO WITH THE OXYPONICS PRO 6 FOR MY FIRST SETUP Stealth Hydroponics, Inc - $4.99 Shipping! - Hydroponics Systems and Supplies, plant lighting, Aeroponics, grow room, hydroponics shops, grow tent, hydroponics kit, grow kits, buddinghouse > Oxyponics® Pro Six I WILL BE GROWING IN ABOUT A 4X11X10 WALK-IN CLOSET, I HAVE ATTACHED A PHOTO OF IT BELOW. I WILL BE COVERING THE CARPET WITH A PAINTERS TARP AND COVERING THE WALLS AND CEILING IN MYLAR. I WILL BE ORDERING 3 PURPLE CHEESE SEEDS AND 3 POLAR EXPRESS SEEDS ALL FEMINIZED FROM ATTITUDE SEED BANK. I WILL BE USING TAP WATER TO CHANGE MY RESOVOIR WITH AND THE LUCAS FORMULA FOR NUTRIENTS. I PLAN ON HAVING A 600 WATT HID LIGHT IN A COOLTUBE WITH A REFLECTOR WHICH WILL BE CONNECTED WITH DUCTING TO A 6" CARBON FILTER AND AN INLINE FAN THAT WILL EXAUST THROUGH A HOLE IN THE DOOR AND OUT INTO MY ROOM. THIS WILL ALL BE HUNG FROM THE CEILING WITH HOOKS AND STRAPS. I WILL ALSO HAVE 2 OSCILLATING FANS CIRCULATING THE AIR AND BLOWING ON THE PLANTS.

NOW THAT YOU GUYS HAVE AN IDEA OF WHAT YOUR LOOKING AT I WAS HOPING YOU COULD HELP ME OUT WITH A FEW START UP QUESTIONS. ALL ANSWERS ARE GREATLY APPRECIATED.

1. SHOULD I PLACE MY GERMINATED SEEDS INTO ROCKWOOL CUBES AND USE HYDROTON AS A MEDIUM?
2. IS IT ABSOULTLY NECASSARY TO HAVE A SEPARATE VEGGING AND FLOWERING ROOM?
3. SHOULD I PUT AN IN-ROOM AIR CONDITIONER IN THE GROW ROOM TO COOL TEMPS?
4. I AM STUCK ON THE FRESH AIR PROBLEM, I WAS THINKING OF CUTTING A SECOND HOLE IN THE DOOR AND RUNNING AN INTAKE FAN THAT WOULD SUCK AIR FROM MY ROOM INTO THE CLOSET. MY ROOM DOESNT GET ALOT OF FRESH AIR TO BEGIN WITH ESPECIALLY WITH MY DOOR BEING CLOSED. WHAT SHOULD I DO? MAYBE PUT A AIR CONDITIONER WALL UNIT IN THE WINDOW OF MY BEDROOM?
5. WILL JUST THE CARBON FILTER GET RID OF MOST OF THE SMELL OR DO I NEED A 'SCRUBBER'?

IF ANYONE COULD ANSWER THESE QUESTIONS OR GIVE ME ANY ADVICE AT ALL THAT WOULD BE GREAT. IF YOU WANT TO JUST COMMENT TO LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK OR IF YOU HAVE ANY IDEAS FOR MY SETUP IT IS ALL EXTREMELY APPRECIATED!!

I personally think you are wasting your money buying the system and could save yourself 60% of the money you would be spending on it to build the hydro kit yourself :)

1. I grow in soil...not an expert on soilless...
2. Vegging plants need more than 12 hours of light per day, whereas flowering plants shouldn't receive more than 12. You can also veg your plants on the window sill or in the garden, and flower in your flower room.
3. ideally, temps need to be 17-19 C at night and 22-25 C during the day. if it looks like you need extra cooling, i would suggest looking into water cooling systems, but thats more advanced than a regular airco.
4. Not sure about this one...
5. i never used odor control of any kind, besides incense...i hear that carbon filters are pretty effective though...

If you feel like spending money, you could always go with LED lights and save the money from the ballast, hood, bulb (replace every 2-3 grows), air conditioning, and heavy ventilation equipment. ONA gel works well for the grower on a budget with little ventilation if need be for odor control if you want to sidestep the ventilation a little longer, the system should only cost you around $100. All you have to do is open or crack a window for fresh air and open the closet for a few minutes every once in a while to recycle your fresh air. Two grow rooms is also more ideal for the perpetual grower and might be a little too overwhelming for first timers and hobbyists on a budget, but don't let that discourage you if you got the funds to do it. Even a third "clone" room would be great if you have the resources for it. Hopefully if anything, this info helps you out and anyone else that reads it. it makes sense logically to me.
