I popped open the mailbox to two envelopes containing : 1 10pk Feminized Arjans Ulra Haze (22.9%THC, 1.1%CDB .5%CBN) and 1 5pk Vicious Kush seeds from barneys farm (22% THC 1.5%CBD).

The site of my premature laides was enough to make me feel like a giddy school girl, then i saw the freebies. 1 feminized Purple Lady seed, havent researched this strain at all but it sounds nice. 5pk reg Mazar i Shariff and a 5 pk of Thai Sup Skunk. I know have enough to grow a fucking party gadren.
;)
Since I want to smoketh it sooner, i wanted to get rid of the mazar i shariff off first, its 6-8wk flowering :) This would be fine but my Arjans Haze takes like 10-12 weeks flowering and i am going to order a MH/HPS light.

How should i go about switching my Mazari Shariff over to flowering while still letting my Arjans Haze and VK vegetate nice and huge. We plan on ordering a 600w hps/mh for $250 off htgdirect or whatever. Could i just buy a seperate hps light for the mazarishariff when i want it to flower?

First off, just say it's for personal consumption man. Second, from what I know of the Arjan's Haze, it's a sativa dominant or maybe even completely sativa strain, which is the reason for the long flowering time. The pluses the sativa strains have are that they usually produce bigger yields, but depending on how you plan to grow, the additional time they require to flower til they're done may offset the benefit of the larger yield. Most of my experience has been with indica dominant strains and hybrids. Pure sativa strains I've only done a handful of times, and although they turned out well, the longer flowering time can sometimes be the thing that can allow certain types of problems like bugs, nutrient disorders, etc, to fester longer than desirable. From what I know about indoor sativas, a good sea of green setup would probably work the best for what you've got. There's no easy answer to your question about which strain to sacrifice or make room for being that you haven't provided pics of your setup. Good luck with your project man.

I have grown sativas and skunks together on 3 occasions. What i did was start the sativas on their own 3 weeks before the skunks , this way they were both ready to start the flowering stage at the same time, or there abouts. The sativas did take 3 weeks from memory longer to finish but it was worth the wait because whilst i was enjoying smoking the skunk i knew i had 2 big sativas on the way. I still say that pure sativa whist you can grow them succesfully inside do way way better in an outdoor environment.

Hope this helps for next time.

Thanks for the info, this will be my 1st gro, my spot is down in my basement. It has a lot of air ventilation since its kind of connected to under the house. Will switching your plants into flowering a week early hurt the quality of the plant?

Arjans was pretty pricey with shipping, maybe 130. Vicious Kush $80.00. Ordered from 2 diff sites, arrived on the same day. :D

switching to flower wont have anything to do with the quality.. may effect quantity a little bit because it will obviously miss out on 1 week of veg.

Satisfied, don't be so hastey to switch to the flowering stage.. Give the ladies all the veg time they need. If you have the room give them a good 8 - 10 weeks.. This is my opinion.. I don't beleive that the quality will be effected, by this i think you me smoking quality ??? I you give a plant the max it can take in the veg cycle it will give you a way better yeild in the flower stage. I know it's hard but it'll be worth it in the long run.

Yea i definately want the yield off my main plants but i wanted somethingquick to smoke on, so i would just take the mazari's over quicker, not really giving a fuck.

I do wanna get my AJ haze and VK nice n big in veg for huge yield, but does veg really take 8-10 weeks? :O I was thinking one month :( Poop. I am using a 600w MH would this speed up the proccess?

yes it may speed things up a little.. try giving 6 - 8 weeks veg the turn the light down but i wouldn't suggest any earlier. Good luck mate.
