There is a strain, called "weed". It relieves pain.

Lol in all seriousness though, I have NEVER smoked any weed that hasn't given me pain relief to some degree.

But there are some that are better for helping with pain. Any indica will help a lot, but some specific ones are Sour Grape, Train Wreck, White Skunk, Blueberry Kush, etc.

Aww thanks. TW is one of my favorites. I blew my whole elbow out throwing in the State Championship when i was 17, had to have Tommy John Surgery. they messed up the surgery and I'm left with lingering moderate pain, sometime severe.

But yah, try to find White Skunk.....it's kinda rare, but if you live in CA you should be able to find it, especially in LA or Bay Area.

Weed gets you high. Pain pills relieve pain. If you wanna get high, smoke dope. If you want pain relief, take some opiates.

well i broke most of my bones. constint pain. Indaca is like a morphen (lays you out) but i like sativas (more upity, makes me feel like moveing and doing stuff)

indca takes the pain away and locks me to the couch.

Sativas make it so the pain dont bother me as much

with my injurys i could get ANY pain pill i want from a doctor, but insetd i dont take any pills and smoke Cannabis all day... LOL Eating cannabis works wonders for pain (just becarfull with sativas when eating, you can lose your mind)

when eating it, it relases Cannbanoids that you dont get when you smoke, so the first time you eat it, it is like the first time you smoked, but I have seen people TRIP right out,

I use Maple Leaf Indica which does not couchlock me btw. I have heard of many hybrids or indicas giving pain relief, the pure sativas not very often. I did not like eating pot, lasted too long and the feeling was kinda bad in a way. But eating it does make the buzz go right to the body, so if you could handle it I guess it would be better.

Not as many comments from stoned growers over in the medical section.

Pretty much same symptoms, but I use a sativa, I do not like being laid out either.

I have a plethora of meds. The only one that works well for the hands is straight morphine sulphate, but as I totally hate that stuff it was a problem.

Smoking an oil extract of sativa with each morphine dose allows me to get the same relief at half the precription dosage. Not perfect but neither is the world and this allows me to do functional work, I cannot water or trim with the untreated arthritus.

For the record, morphine does not help my shoulders at all, and smoking only puts the annoying pain in the background, the sharper pains are untouched by pot. I use the doctor's combo for them, middlin' to poor help at best.
