Hi all, I've been dealing with bud rot on one plant for the last two weeks...I've had to cut sections almost every second day.
She is still at least two weeks from being finished. Anyways.

My bud has the same strain ( bruce bana) and his entire plant is fucked as he didnt catch the mold soon enough...its everywhere..

Here is a painful question.
Have any of you ever cut bud in order to get better airflow to prevent mold?

My second plant ( another bb) ..
Thoughts?

Yes it is a shit greenhouse..I have two fans blowing 24/7 . And I open bottom flaps up in the morning and only close them if the nighttime temps are getting close to freezing...which they unfortunately are in my area..
Haven't seen the sun in a week with all this shit weather.

I have been watering only in the am and I have stopped fertilizing her in case she gets it.

Other than a dehumidifier, just wait it then? I'll look into getting another fan and have it blow down onto the big buds

Your primary problem is the plant is touching plastic cover creating condensation on the inside
You need to ignore the concern of freezing grown plants
That flap needs to be open so early in the am you should just leave it open
Otherwise you'll lose em all
A marijuana plant that is mature can take several hard frost

Thanks man. First grow outdoors from seed. It pots, never thought they would get this tall. Topped them, lst them as well as lifting the roof another 4 ft.
I'll try and tie down the buds that are touching the vapor barrier.
Ironically, every morning, there is absolutely no condensation on the inside poly

I have cut bud off the plant before yes, i regret it and never do that now. It only stresses your plant and slows down flowering while increasing chances of becoming a herm or other problems.. So it's up to you

Only cut off buds that have rot!

I grow in the bush here in NW Florida, where the short summer days means my flower season is also my rainy season. I almost always have rot. Cut out all the rot you see. Spray the area with 3% H2O2. {also wash any good bud you clip with a H2O2 bath}

Each time I go to my patches, I'm ready to chop if I have to. When you have had whole patches melt down, you can live with some two week early bud. Or at least I can. But I try to leave it as long as possible, cutting the tip buds when they are close, then letting the rest go a bit more.

I've gone down to 28F comfortably. These are very hardy plants. I've read that there are some strains that can handle even lower.

We just had our first frost last night... -8 c . I'm running a dehumidifier in the greenhouse at night but it's freezing up every 15 min. It has dropped the 100% humidity down to 80 but I think I might fuck it up if it goes through another cold night like that. Least it is keeping the greenhouse above freezing.
Unless I rip the greenhouse down, I can't get plants out...
