Hello - great forum - some real experts here so I thought I'd see if anyone had any advice/experience for using the PC Planter. It is available from SunlightSheds.com (and some other places).
The system specs are:
Dimensions: 8.1" x 20.6" x 18.6" (W x H x D) (Everything is in a PC case)
One 50 Wt HPS
Two 80 CFM fans
It contains a bubble-ponic - 2 plant system
I have attempted a few grows but so far no smokable product.
So far they grow pretty good (but slow - for which I blame the anemic light) but my main problem is so far no females (that's zero out of ten)! I'm figuring I'm very unlucky or something else is going on.
I have noted that I see preflowers appear after 3-4 weeks of vegetative growth. At first I thought I was having trouble sexing them but I now realize that I haven't seen a female yet! At this point, I'd be happy with a hermaphrodite!
My questions are 1: Does anyone have any experience/success with using this system? and 2: Is it true that sub-standard lighting can cause premature flowering? Is there anything other than genetics that determines if a seed becomes male or female?
One thing to note, I do plan on upgrading to a new room which will consist of an aeroponic system w/dual-spectrum 1000Wt lighting! I am considering the General Hydroponics Rainforest 66 and the 1000W Sun System 7 Grow Light system. Any comments?
