PC setup problem

Long time lurker first time grower.

I'm setting up a PC for my first grow which will be a micro hempy. The PC is a medium size case with mylar covering the inside and power strip with 4 23watt CFLs. There are 3 fans, one intake and two outtake. My problem is the three fans all have red, blue, yellow, and green LCD lights on their corners. Will these lights cause any problems during lights out?

NO lights on durring the dark cycle. Simple as that. Try to find a way to get the leds to cut out. Can you post a picture of them while on?

Should be able to use a test light to find the power wire for the light.

Sent from my XT1080 using Rollitup mobile app

Usually they are just hot glue dabbed on the edge of the fan. Take it out. Pop that glue ball off and the light should come with it.
In veg a light leak wont matter cause you can have them on a 24hour light sched. Flowering is where you will run into problems with light leaks, and since its a pc grow im assuming youll be flowering from seed.

I figured I'd have to take the fans apart...a project for tomorrow. Yup I'll be using bag seed.

3 wire connection. Reds power blacks ground yellows usless. You cant just cut the power cord cause it will kill the power to the fan. Find the led and take them off or cut their little power cord that comes from the center of the fan. This is most fans ive seen, a picture of yours might help but yes, tomorrws another day

Hey, if they're normal computer fans I'm guessing the lights you are talking about, are little LEDs on the edges pointing inwards, right?
I had the same problem, but they are actually quite easy to remove.
Steps:

-Remove little sticker located on the middle of the fan.
-Locate (by following the wires) which wires do which lights or which are for the power supply (DO NOT DAMAGE THESE).
-The wires should all go along a small grove from the middle to the corners where the lights are located, gently pull them up from this grove.
-After being SURE of which wires you have to get rid of, cut them from the circuit board (making sure u leave as little stomp as possible there so that there aren't any short circuits later)
-After cutting them, follow them to each light, lifting them completely off the groves, at the light steadily pull on the 2 wires vertically, you shouldn't need to use much force to pull the LEDs out.
-Make sure the power supply cables are intact and push them back into the groves.
-Replace sticker
-VOILA!

Maybe I just mention that the fan should be DISCONNECTED from the power during the whole process ;))

Hope somehow that helps.

Take care and keep growing!:weed:

Problem solved! I inspected the fans a little closer and found tiny silver wires running from the center of the fan to the four corners. I sniped the wires and now there are no lights! Thamks for the help.

Sweet, glad we could help.
Hows everything going with the grow? Got any seedlings started?
