I know that Jahseeds is working with some of Peaks gear currently, he had done an open pollination on the Northern lights line and i believe he is working on a few others as well. He has the northern lights up for sale and some hybrids of the northern lights from Peakseeds on his website.

Fwiw, I was reading through the Far West Genetics Instagram account about this and found this posted, "We're working on getting our seeds and plants accessible to consumers. For now it's B2B, we're selling to other licensed producers. Stay tuned."

That was about a year ago, I wonder if there's been any progress.

If you want to S1 anything.. from my understand you are asking how to straight up self pollinate them, correct?
If this is the case, you are going to want to use one of the multitude of methods for getting an otherwise female plant to also produce male parts, those being the pollen sacs. When the pollen from such a plant breeds with itself, the seeds created are considered S1's and only contain genetic material from that plant alone and don't have any male genetics to go along with it. This is the reason why 'selfed' plants only produce female offspring.
The method that I think is the most often used to get female plants to produce pollen is by spraying the plant with water containing silver ions. You can either make the silver ion water yourself, or purchase it from any number of places. Usually costs about $50 for 16oz or something like that. Making your own isn't very difficult either, you simply hook up a piece of scrap silver from a necklace or whatever to a voltage source and dangle it in a container of water. The other terminal of the voltage source is also dangled in the water, and I personally also use a piece of scrap silver for this electrode as well. This way it doesn't matter which terminal is positive and which is negative, because both have silver as the electrodes. I'd suggest referencing my explanation from other sources as they probably have better instructions than what I've given, but this is the basic principal.
In theory, you could do this with male plants instead of females, creating male plants which also produce female plant parts (pistils) which could therefore produce seeds. I haven't ever seen it done or heard of anyone trying it, as not many people want to produce seeds that only produce male plants. I suppose if I only had 1 or 2 seeds left of a strain I was trying to save the genetic lineage of, and after growing them out they all turned out to be male, I would likely attempt to produce some all male S1 seeds from them so that I could pollinate something else later on by growing out the male S1's at a time that I knew I would have some females growing which I want to pollinate with that male. It might make for a useful tool in stabilizing a genetic line, because you could reliably have that same genetic male around to pollinate future females with, generation after generation of breeding, also called inbreeding for stability. I'm not sure how long pollen stores for, but I'm assuming that seeds would store more reliably than pollen.
I don’t think the silver process will reverse a male. I also make my own “fem juice”, it’s pretty simple. I use small silver rods that can be bought at most jewelry stores, and a phone charger with alligator clips on each wire. I also use an aquarium pump to keep some movement going in the jar, it seems to help a lot.

I only had this one female & i think it was at around 7 weeks flower maybe just a tad before in these pics i was only able to get 3 of i think 8 to grow i had 2 males & 1 female, i ran them a few months ago & they were F1's that i bought back in 2013. I made F2's but not a lot & i plan on sourcing some from someone else hopefully then breeding in thier batch into mine to preserve.
Lmk if you do. I'd be interested in helping pay the light bill.

Is trading seeds allowed? If it is, I'm looking for packs of Peak's original BB and NL seeds. If anyone has any, I have some good stuff to give in return. How about an unopened pack of DJ Short's BB? Or, I'd buy them straight up, too. Cheers.
I'll buy your dj short bb if you wanna drop me a message.

Just found this post after searching up some more info on Mikes SSxC99. I have 2 lovely ladies about 5 weeks into flower in my greenhouse. The smell is an even mix of skunk and fruit. Along with 3 KB’s and 2 BB’s.
The 3 KB’s have a very similar structure to the BB’s next to them, but also some very clear kush influence. Definitely has more of a kush smell, with a little sweetness.
The 2xBB’s all started flowering much later than everything else in the greenhouse. The two plants aren’t beside each other either. So I had considered that due to their position in the greenhouse, the amount of direct sunlight it received was the culprit. However one was at the front receiving more light than the other and it still flowered almost 2 weeks later than the rest. Plus I have 1000w total of supplementary LED lighting since my backyard is slightly shaded by large trees. So I just figured that this particular BB starts flowering a bit later outdoors than his other offerings. Which sucks for the lower mainland of BC, since it’s beginning of October and these BB’s look like they have 5-6 weeks of flower left!
Both BB’s started trichome production instantly, although they only look to be 3 weeks into flower.

Really wish I had kept cuttings of the SSxC99, since I had about 20+ of them, and they rooted so vigorously, but another grower was looking to fill out a room and I had about 70 extra cuttings too many for my veg space, and I still have a half pack of those beans left over to pop later.

also have an unopened pack of his Cindy99. All these beans were bought about 6-7 years ago.

I'm sure those are going to be what the Millennials these days call fire :fire:. :o... can't believe it, think this is the first time I used a GIF in a forum.

Vic High used Mr Souls C99 with his heavily _worked_ version of Romulan to create Space Queen. Since Mike has been heavily plugged into the BC scene for a _very_ long time, I would trust those genetics implicitly.

Well so far, I have to say I am impressed with the terpene profiles, trichome production and structure of the calyxes. I’ve Ran a couple of the Kushberry pack once before around 2016 when I got them, but they never got a chance to grow like they are now (4ft from top of 7gal pot). Had them in a 1 or 2gal pots stuffed into a tent I needed to fill, with a crop of Cheese clones. Needed to crop them early for some weddings funds, so none of the plants got to reach their true potential unfortunately.

I plan to take the KB’s another 4 weeks at least, with the SSxC99 and BB going another 5-6 weeks unless the trichome tell me otherwise

I just started a "Far West Genetics" thread because I think that a lot of good conversation to be had there. I'm posting this to invite you all to come and join in!

Don't think another thread was really needed, Mike has made it pretty clear that he has other priorities right now. I'm sure when he has time to stop and catch his breath, given what a giant pain in the ass jumping through all those legal hoops must be, he'll decide if he wants to screw around with the direct to grower model again.

He's been doing Direct BC a very, very long time and I cannot imagine he would be real anxious to jump back in and have to respond to some newbie who just douched his seeds with whatever miracle fertilizer is currently envogue and wants his money back.

This is the community that kept PSBC alive for decades. I imagine that Gord (I believe that Gord from FWG is the "Mike" we all knew) is very appreciative that this community supported him for decades and views us as more than newbies douching. It stated on his website for a year that he's working on selling to consumers, so his intentions have been clear. It there's a way to figure out how to get seeds from him, through legal means, I'd be interested and I certainly won't give up. I'm going to get in touch with a cannabis store owner this week and ask about possibilities.
