Physically: OK, so let me describe myself: Skinny guy with freakish metabolism. One of the reasons I smoke is it helps me gain weight: I'm ~5'10" and can push 150lb after a couple weeks of munchies, good sleep, etc. but without I usually am about 130lb-mayybe 135lb for my adult life.
How much I smoke and when: I smoke 3/8oz a month over a span of 1.5-2.5 weeks, run out. So 0.7g-1.1g/day depending. But then I run out and can't afford until the following month. This means that right now I haven't smoked for a little over a week, and it will have been a little over two weeks when I take the test. It also means that I had a 2.5-week break before I smoked the most recent 3/8oz.
What I smoke: But the stuff I smoke is very high quality (Superman Kush, 300, etc.), almost certainly >15% THC and maybe >20%.
What I think: I like to think that, coupled with my crazy metabolism, means the THC metabolites never really get to build up in my fat like they would for a long-term daily smoker.
Everything I read says I will be fine, and that the 30 day period is mostly for heavyset, long-term daily smokers. When I take the test it will either have been 15 days, or 19-20 days if I take it after the weekend (I don't know their practice but this is not for some safety-related job, so they are not gung-ho like that, most likely they tell me to go get tested some time soon after I get my offer).
Measures I am taking: I care about my health so I don't want to take any extreme measures like niacin or extreme dilution. I am doing some exercise and drinking 8-16oz of pure cranberry juice daily. I plan to drink plenty of fluids the day before and day of, but not the gallon+ amounts I see people practicing dilution doing. I will pee in the morning (as if I could shower without pissing
) and I plan on doing the mid-stream thing (only catch the middle of the piss) when I do test.
So ... What do you guys think? Any similar stories? I am going to report back in any case so you all know how it went. Too many of these threads online lack a conclusion.
