I can see why Garland might want to time Trump's prosecution, Trump running around loose is the democrats biggest asset. As long as the threat is there it can help with the current state elections, Donald is also dividing the republicans and not allowing new leaders to arise. However, the Stormy Daniels affair and Cohen are starting to smell, it's a pretty simple case and is a slam dunk. My conclusion is that Donald is more useful running around refighting the 2020 election, than he is in prison right now. Besides, Garland wants NY to take Trump down, cause that is gonna happen before the 2022 election, they will have enough to do Donald for life.
i have NO faith left that justice will be served...i'll have to see him being led away in cuffs in an orange jumpsuit before i stop feeling like he's going to get off AGAIN..hmm, trump in an orange jumpsuit...does that count as camouflage?

his running around loose is not all for the better..some people are saying Trump is responsible for the Alec Baldwin incident through the gun wrangler.

Not really, because that sets up expectations. Disappointing by not meeting what some voters will read as a promise is politically bad. “We do not comment on investigations before charges are made public” is a good answer that does not imply a deadline.
he should have been prosecuted when it happened, and fuck "tradition" right in the motherfucking ear. why does being a sitting president excuse you, even temporarily, from being prosecuted for crimes you commit? if anything, it should hold you to a higher standard, with stiffer penalties

He and Rudy will probably die of old age before they see the inside of a cell, others, not so much. The lower down the food chain, the faster they will go away, it's becoming apparent that a half dozen congress people and a senator or two, might be indicted too. An independent special council is required, a former republican who quit the party long ago in disgust, a patriotic fire breather who let's God sort em out! A cold warrior who figures climbing in bed with the Russians and conspiring to stage an insurrection are acts of treason. Someone who will put the fear of Jesus into those who were even on the capitol grounds, just looking stupid, cause he will want to look into that too and charge as many as he can. Give the Independent council broad powers and the ability to bring back a few hundred or thousand FBI and DOJ personnel, if required. Even if the democrats lose the house, the special counsel continues to use grand juries to indict these assholes.

I concur. But I dont have any idea of timelines of major cases. Since I wasnt paying attention to previous high-profile court cases, I cannot say if this is too slow.
I share some of your frustration because I dont want to see the bastards go scot-free. But I am aware enough of my ignorance, so I don’t feel anger would do nothing but corrode what pleasure in life i still have.
But others use anger to help them take life’s tasks by the horns. I never made that work for myself.

wasn't it Charlie Manson who used the Tate-LaBianca murders to create his Helter Skelter of racial uprising?

cults are a weird thing- you just never know who is who.

it's against the law in most US states and if you happen to be a minority, it's a reason to pull you over.
Oh. Here in Cali lots of mirror hangers. I will continue to trust in my old white maleness, I guess. But everything on my mirror is some cute or cool thing I found on a parking lot.

and i thought you were in the Arctic:wink:

yes, there are many mirror hangers including myself, but times have changed and so have laws; it's always good to know your locals are no matter what color you are. i think we take a test on it.

Oh heaven forbid! I’m in the badlands N and E of LA. I’ll choose the desert over the high latitudes every time.

Damn. Mirror hangers are not allowed. I think I’ll move my dash buddies into the armrest.
