Ph and ec fluctuations

Hi all thanks in advance

I'm currently using advanced nutrients (per litre)
Sensi a + b 2ml
B52 1ml
Senzizym 1ml
Rhino skin 1ml
Bud candy 1ml
Big bud 1ml


My ph is 5.8
My ec is 1.2

Then within 24 hours it has changed to

Ph 4.7
Ec 1.4

Using rdwc method

Also buds seem a little on the small side for day 23 compared to some others I have seen.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

you will get flutuations during the day with hydro, nothing you can do about it. make sure you take the readings at the same time each day. as to your problem, ill leave it to someone with hydro knollage. good luck and a belated WELLCOME TO RIU, You came to the right place

Thanks buddy

Your over feeding ,EC should drop and ph be stable or slowly rise. All those extra ingredients are probably doing more harm then good.

Cheers mate was originally feeding twice as much am I right in thinking i should be lowering my ec to about 1

Well you like to see the EC drop with the water level,means their eating. Dropping pH could mean time for a flush?

Thanks guys so I dropped the ppm to 700 and the ph overnight has dropped to 5.3 now this is 1/4 strength nutrients now should I still go even lower with ppm

Don't look at it as quarter strength a plant only needs what it needs if that's 1.0ec that's full strength.

At 23 days the plant is still preparing for flower, it's barely stopped stretching imo it's way to early to be using bud booster/enhancers etc, I'd make up my nutrients with a+b and try to keep the ec level throughout the day, when your plants hungry/over fed it will reflect in the ec.

Do you mean you started with 700ppm and it has dropped to quarter strength?

No I was feeding at 0ver 1000 ppm and the ph kept dropping and ppm was rising so idropped it too 700ppm yesterday and the ppm has gone up by 50 and ph has dropped to 5.2 still

Do roots look OK? Dropping pH is not a good thing to be happening.

Yes roots have a bit of nutrient stain off the b-52 but apart from that no root rot.

Like Myke says, you are overfeeding. Change your res or lower your PPM to around 500 then follow the chart further down in this link. There's really no reason to go above 600 PPM in my opinion.
