PH Concerns

The PH in my res is constantly moving up.

I have to add PH down at least 3 time a day to maintain 5.6 - 6.0.

40 Gallon res using full Advance Nutrients Sensi A+B Vegatation program.

It seems every time I go in to check PH it up to 6.0 to 6.3

Plants are growing great! Babies spent an extra 5 days in the rapid rooters due to unexpected guest. 1 week in the Veg station. 1st 2 pics 1-6-08 last 2 pics 1-13-08.

Will I always be tormented with PH swings?

I bet it is a buffer in your nutrients... WHAT nutrients are you using?

This question keeps coming up.. and I keep forgetting to keep track if it is the same nutrients..

How are your plants doing.. is there anything VISUAL to be concerned about?

cheers

Well got up this morning and the res was back to 6.3 at 6:30AM. I left the room last night and PH was at 5.6-5.7 at 10:45PM.

I'm using an RO. There's only one thing that could affect this on my side. The hydro store was out of lids for my res. So my res is open. Here's a pic of the res and a plant.

Could that be causing the problem.

As stated in my post I'm using Advanced Nutrients and following their recommended feeding schedule for Sensi 2 in vegetative stage.

I use AN and have never had a problem with ph changing. Are you checking it befor or after you add the nutes to the res.

last time i had some wild pH fluctuations the problem turned out to be my meter. might want to make sure it has fresh batteries and is calibrated (unless you already did this then feel free to ignore this).

I mreasure and adjust my PH 3 or 4 time a day.

Roy at Advanced told me to put my nutes in and wait till the PH is stable for 1 hour then adjust. That's what I did.

Do you think no cover on the res could be causing this?

I calibrated last night and my measurements were the same.

I have'nt checked my batteries though.

I'll check them.

no bro it fluctuates no matter what, well water or RO water, it will fluctuate like that. Im dealing with the same bullshit. It doesn't seem realistic to me, and i don't see why the plants would like shit bouncing up an down all day.

i had the same problem but i was using hesi nutes, it killed 3 of my plants so im back in soil for now. i never did get to the bottom of the ph problem. someone said it could be the solution temp, another said it could be too much oxygen, another said it could be the nutes. so i cant help but wish i could.
