I just picked these up from a guy that was moving out of town and the ph levels seem to be high I am running in about the mid 7s but that is also where my tap water is as well. He had algae in the tubes so I cleaned them out and replaced the filters is this normal for the PH to stay about the same or is it something else that is causing the ph to still be kinda up there? I do understand that RO systems are made for removing contaminents but I thought it would also drop the PH level as well I am a noob.

water filters don't alter the pH of your water, just the ppm.

The reason I asked is everyone talks about their RO systems dropping their PH level down to 6.0-7.0 I just wanted to make sure I wasnt missing something with this kind of system thanks for answering Scooby
