Ph/PPM in aeroponic

Hello,
I am a first time grower, using an aerojet 4x4. My veg phase went good, but I am having some issues during my third week of 12/12 cycle. I have looked at numerous guides, but get different numbers for PH and PPM, and just wondering if anyone here has been actually using aeroponics and can help.
I have been getting some leaves curling downward, mainly on my largest female. (also, a week ago I forgot to plug my pump back in, and they went 24 hours without a spray, so could that have simply caused permanent damage?)

I am using Supernatural nutrients, and it says to use 700-100 ppm, but i see people saying I can go up to 1800? Use the manufacturers recommendation or go higher? I am currently at 1300ppm.

Also, I see guidelines for PH such as 5.5-6.3, 5.8-6.0, 5.5-5.7, etc. Does anyone have first hand experience with aero that can tell me the true ideal range?

I will try to get some pictures posted as well..

Thanks!

For 3rd week of beg, depending on how tall your plants are (that should be your main determinant for ppm), around 600-900 ppm. Better to stay lower than higher tough. I doubt your leaves are curling due to not enough nutes. Don't go to 1800. That's just nuts. That type of ppm should be reserves for late in flowering.

I think I got it... I figured what the hell, and (meant) to bring my ph down to 5.7 last night. I must have put a little to much in, and when I got up this morning it was 5.5, and a lot of the leaves have uncurled. The ones that haven't are softer then they were, so I guess aeroponic ph should be 5.5-5.7. I have about 1400ppm with no burn noticed. I could see the difference in growth over night. I attached a picture of my 4 females - this is three weeks of veg, three bloom. I tried counting the buds on the plant in front, and gave up less then half the plant with over 60 of them...

take it back - 5-5.7 worked fine for a few days - leaves softened etc, but then started getting worse deficiencies, so back up to 5.8-6, and still a littel curling. I'm stumped, but they are still growing like hell.

I think your plants look great and it sounds like you are keeping a careful eye on them. I'll bet they turn out awesome!

i remember 5.2 seemed to be the consensus for aero, but i can't remember why. make sure your probe is clean and your meter is calibrated. i agree with earlier post: go with lower ppm to start. you should be able to see the ppms drop after topping off with fresh water every day. if you're not seeing any noticeable daily uptake, then there's no point going with a heavy feed. i'm in last few weeks of flowering and only at 1000ppm. after topping off with pH'd tap water, my plants are sucking down 100ppm/day. higher concentrations are actually harder for plant to absorb than lower because of the osmolar gradient. too high a concentration can even reverse osmotic flow and cause wilting/death, so start low and gradually work your way up.

Hey Budd Just saw this post so I created an Account I would love to chat with you a bit more. Just getting ready to transfer my plants into the AeroFlow 60 system :)

What is a good PH level to start them at. Can you give me any guidance on a live cycle Table for PH levels at week 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9, and so on :P I would love it if you could.

Thanks in advance looking forward to learning the ropes!

5.8 is the magic number for pH in aeroponics. I keep mine at 5.8 the entire cycle and my plants love it.

actually you want the pH to drift bud, magic number? lol you betcha....

5.3 - 6.3 for the aeroflos, trust....

Take a look at your nutrient uptake chart and see how the P + Mg only start to intake around 5.8, so if your meter is off, or your ph fluctuates, you can immediately lock those out before you know it...

If you top up often, or if your drift is slow, make sure to adjust accordingly, its common sense...

Thanks man! Just adjusted and put them in their new home! I want to start a grow journal but cant figure out how. Ill figure it out. Be on the look out for my Jock Horror grow!

I grow all aero. Keep PH at 5.7-6 the entire grow. Ppm 3 weeks into bloom right around 1000 going up to 1350 before flushing.
