PH Problem

Hey guys I'm having a problem with my ph and I was hoping someone could give me some advice.

My ph is just hovering around 7.1 I put ph downer(general hydroponics) in it and it's goes to the right ph for a few hours if that then right back to 7.1. I've tryed changing the res out like 3 times now. I'm using a NFT systen I made out of pvp pipes. I cleaned the pipes out before using them so I don't think that's the problem and the hydroton i'm using I flushed under water for hours, and the rockwool cubes I soaked in ph adjusted nutrient water for 36 hours. I'm using earthjuice bloom and micro for nutrients and that is kinda creating a thin layor of basically shit on the inside of my pipes that would be almost impossible to completly clean out without breaking the entire system, but I don't think a layor of nutrients in my pipes will fuck my ph up.

I don't know what i'm doing wrong, please help!

are the earth juice solutions you're using organic? in a system like that chems would be a better choice. how big is your rez?

I'm having a simular problem, but I have a bucket with water and the ph keeps going up 12 hours after I put the downer in. not good

What's you water like? Had the smae prob turned out to be the water I started with. The Natural buffers in the water was causing my ph rise. Purchased 7 stage RO system and no more probs. Two days of micro adjusting on new res then it will hold for three to four days and then it's usally low so a little baking soda is all it takes. Also new hydroton will cause ph rise for awhile (just my opinion)
Good Luck

I had this problem, I decided to change fert and get a filter and now my ph stays the way it is.. unless I change it.

Ph will always go up after u bring it down. Every day I am in my shit checking my PH cause ill bring it to 5.8 and after runing through the system a bunch of times it goes up to like 6.2 and then in a few days up higher so i have to bring it down again. This is normal cause whatever medium ur using (i use rockwoll) has a higher ph than the food ur giving it. Just lower ur ph, let it sit for 10-15 minutes, check it again, (Lower if needed) then let it run through ur system wait another 10-15 minutes and check it again Lower and ull be good for a couple days at least ;P
