PH problems should i get new soil

Ok,
I am using a peat moss soiless mix.

Being a stoned asshole i forgot to add any dolomite lime or any type of PH buffer.:wall:

My plants are obviously growing slow and having all the tell tale sighns of a PH problem. They are about 4 weeks old in one gallon pots.

My question is i dont feel like messing and battling with the acidic ass peat.

At this stage i am going to be buying some OCEAN FOREST SOIL FROM FOX FARM.

Would it be ok to transplant now and do i knock of the soil that the roots are in? Also since there are ferts in that soil how long will they be fed.

Thanks +rep for good answers!:leaf:

ph has to do with the water your feeding it. nothing to do with the soil excpet for the runoff. buy a ph testing kit. you can go to any local petsmart or petco in the fish area and look for one.

if there big at 4 weeks they may need a bigger pot.go to a 2 gallon and use better soil but don't clean the roots just transplant it with whatever peat don't fall off easy.

Thanks for the help guys. OK yea im going to transplant tomorrow.

The water with and without ferts is kept at 6.8. But the run off is still as low as 5.0

So screw it im going with new soil.

Thanks again!:bigjoint:

One more thing is throwing em into 5 gallon pots now over kill or would they do fine...
