Ive automated my watering and now my ph every day is spiking from the 5.8/9 i aim for, to 6.5 in the morning when i check the res.
i used to just mix the amount i needed but hectic schedule i need to automate. i have 2 airstones in the res i heard that can cause it.
but i talked to my hydroshop and their companys brand name of ph up and down ive been using also is "organic" and they say it will
fluctuate over time and not be stable, anybody suggest a good PH up/down brand and also any tips to maintain ph level in resevoir

Cheap?

That's half of what you need. You need the doser and the PH controller.
yea the autopilot is both and bottom of the screenshot of the milwaukee "Frequently bought together"
and they are wayyyy cheaper than bluelabs

I'm seeing $70 bucks for the complete Blue lab system.

The Milwaukee brand stuff is top tier. ~$230

I always use general hydroponics ph up/ph down. No need to get fancy with it. Its just a simple acid and base. Not sure what the deal with "organic" is. Sounds like a good way to separate more money from your wallet. Wouldn't hurt to get your water tested also.

Also im first time coco grower i always used promix..

Phosphoric acid for pH down is as stable as it gets. Which is what I'd use.
I use power si and it drops the ph alot so i need to use ph up to hit my 5.8/5.9 then after when i wake up to check on the res its sitting at 6.5 so then i use ph down, can ya suggest a good brand i see there is one by dutch nutrients looks reputable, also gh says they use phosphoric acid,

I always thought silica products raised the pH. They say on the SI website that it won't change the pH but it does. Not right away but later.

Anything phosphoric acid will work. Some are just more diluted than others. I've used other alternatives but have always found the phosphoric acid to be the most stable maintaining pH in reservoirs.

ahh i see ok thanks, and yea power si is unique it is monosilicic acid compared to the rest which are potassium i believe, not too knowledgable on the subject tho

I just buy the 950ml / 32oz 85% food grade Phosphoric Acid and then I mix that with 96oz of distilled water, and I end up with a gallon generic GH pH down that cost the same as a 32oz bottle of GH pH down, and it works for me! Or you can just go to tractor supply and buy a gallon of Dairyland ST0011-DB-AM10 Sterosol Milkstone Remover & Acid Rinse, and that will be same thing as GH pH down, as that is what GH uses for its own pH down, they just buy it in bulk and re-brand it!
