PH up... ;-)

I cant tell you the difference since I have no comparison.
The soil mix I use starts out with low PH so I always add lime.
It takes awhile for the lime to dissolve and mix into the soil so starting out I have to use high ph'd water to bring it up.
Over a few weeks the lime takes effect then PH is taken care of.
If, in the future, you add some lime to your soil mix you will only need to ph your water for the first few weeks. In that case, I don't see how a few crystals of PH up compared to the other would really make a difference.

For now, if you don't have lime for your soil, I would probably use ph up if it is handily available. It hasn't effected my plants negatively at all.
