so many phenos, so little time. i will keep my questions simple and short.

are the strains of TGA f4's or higher? is it true that the f3's and better are more open to different pheno finding? would you say that most of TGA gear has multiple phenos? is it safe to presume that out of a pack of 10 i wont find many of the same traits within the plants that are female of the same strain? are there any hidden phenos?

i think that sums it up....i hope.

from my understanding most of his strains are f1 hybrids with a few being back-crosses. you have to inbreed to get f2 f3 etc and it is generally done to lock down certain traits. for example an f2 of vortex would be the offspring from taking a male vortex and using it to pollinate a vortex female. if you selected another male and female from the f2's and bred them this would make an f3 etc etc. a back-cross is when you take a male or female offspring of a hybrid and breed it back to one of the parents. for example his apollo 13 backcross is a vortex male crossed back to the apollo 13.

all the phenos in a 10 pack are from the same parents so they will at least have a few things in common. but yes expect variation and multiple phenotypes, and i wouldnt say there are hidden phenos but there are definitely phenos that are more sought after than the others (i.e. the pink lemonade pheno of jack the ripper). lots of "keepers" tho. i would expect to find at least one keeper in every 10 pack if not more. so far 5 of the 7 pheno's ive grown (multiple strains) have been of "keeper" quality. and the other two were not bad by any means.

i think you are correct. so i am to assume there is only a hand full of different phenos per strain? i do see a few of the same on these Plushberries i am working. but seems as if all 4 of the Space Bombs look different to me. the Jack The Rippers are kinda ll over the place too. some are spear-christmas tree like buds and others are round and bulbous on top. as far as the "Pink Lemonade" pheno, they all smell like lemons to me. literally. a few smell of a sweet lemony smell, almost a pink lemonade smell. the PB is fattening up nicely on day 40 (today), and the rest are kinda catching up.

what exactly does "recessive traits" mean then? i thought recessive traits meant that when you bread 2 crosses together it will bring out traits of both mother, and grandmother. so to speak. or of the contributing pollen giver?? i am a tad bit confused on breeding. and the pollen laden buds that produce seeds of another strain. (i seen a picture in a Weed World magazine a few issues back and in the caption it read "a Vortex Plant with Jack The Ripper seeds".) i sooo need to read the copy of Marijuana Botany by Robert Connell Clark.

i got hella lucky when i ordered my pack of PB. somehow an 11th seed ended up in the bag. all 11 sprouted. and outta those 11 i got 7 females. and only 1 i wouldn't use as a mother. all of them have slightly similar characteristics, but 1 is slightly shorter with stockier buds, one has more resin-y buds and one has more color. but they all kinda smell the same.
