been vegging for almost 2 months now. started under 100w CFL equivalents for a month, then moved to a 400w HPS for a few weeks, and recently switched out to a 400w MH conversion the past few days.

this last one i suspect of having male pre-flowers.

if there ARE confirmed male pre-flowers, what should i do with them? this is currently my only plant, it came from a feminized northern light seed(nirvana). i want to flower this plant so bad

any ideas/comments?

bump.
PS
im also interested in cloning. where should i take the clone from, and is there any way to take a clone and guarantee it to be female?

You're not going to be able to tell until you switch to flowering (12/12) Mine looked exactly the same until I switched em to flowering. The plant won't show sex until it needs to so your not going to know if your vegging. Once you start them under 12/12 light cycle you'll start to see it show sex in about 1-2 weeks usually, sometimes a little longer.

Mine took about 1.5 weeks before it started showing little white pistols.....youll know if it's a female or not :)

Attached some pics, hope they help but again you gotta switch to 12/12 before theyll show anything.

I'm not sure if theyre asexual, I dont know when a plant determines its sex, but I do know that it's not going to SHOW any sign of sex until you switch till flowering.

Trust me, your going to drive yourself nuts looking at your plant from 10 different angles trying to see something, you won't see anything till atleast a week to 2 weeks into flowering. And when it does, you'll know if it's a female or not, the pistols are very apparent, tiny white things that will eventually get bigger and be all over. Just switch to flowering, your plant is pretty damn big and looking really good.

Its gonna stretch even more when you flower, you going to have room for it?

thats a chick...no one sees that white hair sticking out in the second pic, or is it just me?
To see a hair this early is impossible, its just part of the plant that sticks out but not a pistol, you would need a magnifying glass to be able to see that pistol this early if there were any.

it's a pistel, definetely, and it's definetely not impossible, all of my plants show sex before i switch them to 12/12, the second picture clearly shows it's a female, end of story, and the third picture is not clear enough so i can't tell for sure, but i don't see any male flowers.
This guy posted a picture once of a seedling with the first pair of sawed leaves, and 2 pairs of pistels coming out each side :)

Its possible that hairs grow within two months, i've had flowering plants at 1.5 months. I believe your plant maybe a hermaphrodite. I cant be sure since you never mentioned the amount of light your allowing your plant. This hermaphrodite effect is most probably caused by a) you have a predominantely female plant. and b) your soil might be a bit too acidic which almost always ruins your plant by eventually ending up with a dominantely male plant.

the flowers shown in the last picture aren't mature enough yet to make out what it is, but i wouldn't worry about it, since male and female preflowers in early stage look pretty much the same. I'm pretty positive the plant is a female all round because of the pistels in picture 2, the only way to be 100% is to put it in 12/12, even when you get big buds (female flowers), you can still get male flowers here and there, and it could be just a couple of balls like maybe 10 of them on the entire plant, i had it once but i just inspected it every day and cut them away, i even missed a couple of them but had no seeds at all.

I'm just wondering why you are so concerned about having a hermie, it's like you have reason to believe it is (without looking at the plant). It's showing pistels for sure, the rest is just not clear so rule of thumb, it's a female, hope this settles your mind :)

wtf are you guys talking about that its impossible to show sex before 12/12. all my plants have pistils on them and are clearly female and they are yet 1.5 months old. and thank you to whoever said that second pic is a pistil. yall dont know what youre talking about.

Looks like a lady to me. Also, 5 of the 6 from my current grow showed pistils before 12/12. They are called PREflowers for just that reason I'm fairly sure.

pic 1 cant tell but looking good for flowering.
pic 2 definatelly has pistils but are they emerging from the male looking pod in front of them as it looks like a pollen sack?????????.if the pistils are growing/coming out from that pollen sack or catlyx then its a female but the pic is decieving as that looks like a pollen sack but there is defiatelly pistils in the picture as well.
pic 3 cant see anything(unclear).
pic 4 100% male.
