I would stay away from miracle grow as well. All the fox farm products are great and work well. If you buy dirt at HD buy some Scotts. Miricle grow has too much crap in it. Transplant that baby into at least 3 gallon or 5 gallon. Ditch the foil. Use mylar or white paint. Get the light that you have close. Move those cfl's closer to the plants too. They are doing no good where they are now. Don't give any nutes for a few weeks.You will know when your baby is hungry. Get some HID lights if you can, get a fan for air flow and read read read...
 
Black trash bags? To line the room? If so, I would suggest just painting it a bright white, the idea is the reflect light. The trash bags would be good on the floor though, helps in cleanup if you may spill or whatever.
 
My solution was to buy Pro-Mix at HD. I used 70% Pro-Mix, 10% additional perlite, and 20% worm castings.

If you don't want to mix your own I would recommend the Pro-Mix. It already has lime and perlite and peat in there. Search for pro-mix here and you'll see people are using it.

hmm scotts hmm??? okie then and the cfls are where they are cause i cant hook them up right by the plant or then the T5 is to far away and i dont want to stretch my babie when it is taller i will hook them up by it again.. any ideas on how to hook it up by lookin at the first pics??? cause i stood their stoned for a hour before i said ok fuck it they go here!!!:peace::joint:
 
damn i thought the bags would work i was all proud of my self n shit /cry haha ok they are comeing down till i cant get sum white paint or something.. pro mix u say??? anyone have anything bad to say about "scotts or pro-mix" yet?? or pick one of thos?

IMO, I would ditch the T5's and use those CFL's with some more CFL's. Maybe 4-6 cfl's. (if you can't get a M/H - HPS) But you might want a good light to flower.
 
Agreed about the CFL's though, I would say at least 4 of them, then you can cover all angles of the plant for now, least til it gets bigger.
 
I grew this with scotts. I will use ocean forest fox farm next time. No nutes for the first month then fox farm nutes..

i'm only buyin 2 more cfls.. 3000k for flowering once the plant is a bit bigger everything should fit right this is only the 4th day of its life =) besides the t5 puts almost no heat out.. its the 2 23watt cfls that kick the temp up.. 6 of em would make it be 80 open most likely

thats the idea once its taller T5 for top then cfls 1 6500k 1 3000k in y adaptor on one side same on the other.. and turn it 180 every so often

I'm tellin' you the cfl's are better than that T5. You will get better light distribution. I use some cfl's but my main source is a 400 watt M/H HPS. Cost me 175.00 . If your concerned about heat then you need to vent. Do you have fans going?

yeah i have a thread in the growroom forum i cant cut holes so they said to just leave the door open.. and in this case i can cause only 2 others in the house and they know and i live in the middle of no where and smell isnt a problem

and also i dont have alot of cash only 30 bucks to put into this and i'm fine with my lights.. only want 2 more 3000k like i said..
