Straight up g's got it right. Actually, MULTIPLE breeders carry a version of pineapple and they have for quite some time. newer versions are coming out because of overwhelming popularity from it because of the movie.

hence, it's back by popular demand.

Pineapple express is real and is super rare it was first cloned in Europe People say 5 years ago but no one actually knows nor do they know for sure where in Europe. and contrary to belief it doesn’t have a very strong pineapple smell it is very fruity but very skunky smell and very pungent it is one of the rarest weed on the planet and hard to come by....but if you do have a good Kush dealer ask him to look for you cause it is around in some big cities and comes and goes...it’s in Toronto right now and is going for up to 300 a z and worth every penny. Amazing smoke.

once agin pineapple express is JUST A NAME your not actually smoking whats in the movie. i hope you guys realise this is just someone who grew a good strain and simply NAMED the good weed pineapple express.

I remember hearing Seth Rogen say in either an interview or a commentary that if people start growing new strains and naming them pineapple express it would be his legacy. He made up the name but i've seen pineapple express strains, its just not the same "weed" it was in the movie.

So, yes and no. I would loveeee to try the pineapple express from the movie, even though in real life it was prop weed :-(

Yeah, it's just a made up name for some sort of "ultra" weed. It wasn't an established strain before the movie come out so now a couple vendors are producing so called " pineapple express" strains but at this point ti's just a widely known name. No reall strain you can stick it too. The "tude" has a strain from G13 labs called "Pineapple Express".

Yes because there is a legit strain named "Pineapple Express"
No because the "Pineapple Express" from the movie was basically pulled from thin air.
There wasn't such a weed then.

ive grown a few crops with the g13 labs strain. it tastes fruity, grows pretty strong and yields real well when i top em. but its being phased out after this crop. its decent bud, but ive had better.

No it's not, the strain magically appeared a month or so after the movie. There is no way it's real, someone renamed an existing strain
