Ok, so Im about 2 weeks into my first grow.. Found evidence of spider mites a few days ago. To help fight them off I mixed up a miticide I found on here consisting of apple cider vinegar, epsom salt, baking soda, lemon juice, dish soap, and water. Mixed everything and measured correctly.. Sprayed plants thoroughly, and rinsed plants as directed.

I'm pretty sure I moved the plants back into the grow room too soon as some of the plants were still wet.

When I got home, I noticed these spots that looked worse than what the mites had did!!! :wall:

I noticed that my lights were too close to the plants (6 CFL's - 26W Daylights)
So I raised my lights..

Water Ph is 7.0 - 8.0. (Tap water left sitting for days)

Is this light burn? Or did the mites do this??

Plz help me out.

The water acts as a magnifying glass and burned the leaves. No worries. That is why you never spray or mist with lights on. How is your spider mite problem. They bounce back from the dead like zombies. Good Luck.

didn't know you could burn a plant with a 26W cfl.

well, it surely doesn't look severe, either way.

your PH should be 6.3-6.8, depending on the strain, I find 6.7 to be the lucky number. 8PH is high.

you could grow a plant in 8PH, but it won't be able to take most of the nutes and you'll end up wasting your nutes and still get a plant with some deffiencies.

good luck.
