Dude. Plants can do just fine on water that is not fit for human consumption. I highly doubt your water did that to your plant. I don't mean to be an asshole but shitty growing did that to your plant.
You're not being an asshole, this is my first grow. The more I fuck it up, the more I will learn. Thanks for the help.

Avoid lockouts by purchasing Dolomite Lime and mixing it with your soil and dont allow your soil and room temps to fall below 55 , small pots in a cold room will chill the roots fast ..

I guarantee if you use a real meter that you ll find that your run off is not going to be an accurate test for soil Ph .. Peace .PotSnob
Checking runoff with a good meter works just fine.
