Plant Food

I live in Texas.

I got pulled over last night for "speeding," and it couldn't have been more than 5 miles over. The cop walked up and told me I was speeding, but never told me how fast I was going.

He shined his light along my truck as he walked up to the window, then scanned the interior quickly. He asked me to step out of the vehicle in the pouring rain and come to the back of the truck. He asked me if I had anything dangerous, illegal, etc. in the truck and then asked me if he could search it. Seeing as how I had nothing illegal I consented. My truck is clean as a whistle. That was my dumb mistake of the night.

I did however have some incense in the center console, which he told me he could not get me for. He called the station and asked about it, then handed it back to me. This is 10 - 15 minutes into the search of a single cab pickup truck while I'm standing in the rain.

He then goes to the other side and finds plant food capsules, along with a scale and empty capsules. I shouldn't have had the scale with me, but it was all in a box that I stated I had ordered on the internet. I told him that it was Molly's Plant Food, and it contained a fertilizer called methylone. He also found two gallon jugs of legitimate Humboldt Nutrients liquid fertilizer right beside the plant food and these were pulled out of the truck so he could ask me what they were.(AKA, caught on camera as being in the truck too.)

He questioned me about the plant food and tried to get me to admit that I ingested/sold it. I stood my ground that it was plant food and you'd be ridiculous to consume plant food. He then found a set of feeding instructions for the plant food listing directions that clearly state how to feed a plant, not a human being. It also states NOT FOR HUMAN CONSUMPTION. At no point did I allude to it being anything but plant food. I stated that it was methylone and I had done my research on all laws beforehand to make sure that it was a legal fertilizer in the city, county, state, and country.

At about 45 minutes in, a narcotics officer showed up and brought his little MDMA/heroin test kit. It showed up negative. He played the "if you cooperate, we can help you" card. I didn't buy it and continued to state that everything in the box was shipped to me from online, it was fertilizer, and asked if I could have my property returned to me. He confiscated two pills to take it to a lab to get tested, and took the box from me. I received a receipt for the property that was removed from my possession. He kept saying they were going to talk to the DA about getting me for "simulation," like selling oregano as weed. I never alluded to selling it, or using it. I stood my ground the entire time that it was plant food and since we were five foot from my house I told him he could come look at my vegetable garden and watch me feed them if he wanted.

The speeding ticket doesn't even say my speed. It says "Speeding over the limit(#)" Generally when I receive a speeding ticket, it says "62/55" where the pound sign was. I was NEVER informed of my speed by the police officer, nor asked how fast I was going in order to entrap myself. He simply walked up to the window and told me that it was a 55 back there.

Does he have anything to go on?

By the way, I'm well aware that I shouldn't have let him search. :/
