Molasses is sugar and provides carbs to the plant the same way Botanicare Sweet does. I prefer Sweet because it mixes better and doesn't cause a froth of bubbles in my reservoir. The molasses was so thick that I had to mix it in a bucket of hot water before adding it to my reservoir to it would blend and not all sink to the bottom. If you're on a budget though molasses is going to cost nothing compared to using Sweet or Carbo Load. I add carbs from veg through harvest. When my plants are putting on lots of bulk (usually weeks 5-6) I give a higher than recommended dose of Sweet.

Don't cut off any branches that far into flowering. You really shouldn't do any pruning past the end of week 2. You could end up stressing your plant and stunting growth. A good rule of thumb I use when pruning is to never prune more than 1/3 of your plant off in one session to avoid stress and stunting. I'm not sure if CFL's for side lighting would help. I've only grown with 600 and 1K watts before. It definitely wouldn't hurt anything though. Adding Bontanicare Sweet or Advanced Nutrients Carbo Load will add some bulk to your plants.
what are you a nutrient salesman? i have read like 8 posts in the past hour and every one of them you have been hyping up some product?!?!?!

to the OP that started this thread. be ready to support them branches as the weight of the buds will break them if you dont. also adding some high wattage CFL lights to the sides will definantly help more light is always a good thing.

you next grow build a box or a cb and get some reflective material or white paint this will help with stretching as well, you can also top or fimm to get the plant to bush out more during vegg. if you do decide to go with some CFL lighting get at least 4 26W lights, most loacal store sell them get the 2700k spectrum as its a better spectrum for flowering stage.

if you plant on adding like 2 13w CFL they prob wont do any good but if you add some decent ones they will help

Thanks bro yeah I was wanting to add 2 cfls since its gotten so tall I was worried about the hps getting the lower branches. Now can you send me a link as to what cfls would work I'm not familiar with them. Thanks again

lol. maybe i should become one. my nute regimen comes from H&G, botanicare, foxfarm, technaflora, dyna gro, humboldn't own, plant success, dutch master, and hygrozyme. i'm not repping any particular company. each one of those companies has a particular product/s that work well in their own ways and fit into my feeding regimen. i've experimented with lots of products and have found what works best for me. i'm just putting my best recommendation out there. take it or leave it. i'm not saying anybody else' method is better or worse. just putting out there what works for me

Ok so I got 2 «25w 2700k cfl and 1 «68w 2700k cfl with 4200 lumens I was going to add them now in week 5 of flowering. I'm gonna have them surrounding the middle since I have the 250hps on top. Will I notice any increase in yeild or bud size?
