Hello everyone. I'm Having issues with my plants and I cant seem to solve the issue, I have been online trying to find a solution with no luck... I have tried Lowering my adjusting my PH, Tweaking my fert, adjusting my lights and ventilation and still nothing. Im starting to think that it may be pest or fungus related. The random leaves and random parts of leaves start turning yellow then get spotted with brown smudges. Most of the effected leaves seem to be at the center of the plant.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks you

Your pH of your soil and your water should be 6.5-6.8. It is better to err on the high side of 6.5 rather than the low side. You can measure your soil's pH by testing the runoff water that comes out of your drainholes after you water. It is not an exact measurement but is good enough to see whether your soil is way too acidic or way too alkaline. Remember to measure the pH of your water after you add any nutes or other additives to the water, because they will affect the pH.

What is the pH of your runoff (let some run out first and then grab a sample from the "middle of the stream" so to speak). :p What pH do you set your water/feed to?

Also are your plants in veg or flowering stage? If flowering how long have they been in 12/12? You know that after about a month in flowering the plant will start taking energy from the older fan leaves to make the buds bigger. This will cause some other older fan leaves to turn yellow, brown, and fall off eventually. Don't remove them until they fall off on their own or with very gentle pulling, the plant needs their energy.

hhhhmmmmm, i almost want to say it looks like slight over watering. but your soil looks pretty dry. are your pots heavy when you lift them?

The water he is very Alk about 8 out of the tap So i try and adjust it between 6.3-6.8, I try to hit 6.5 but i dont always it that number dead on. My plants are entering Flowering Tomorrow they were in veg up until today. Im slightly limited as to how high they can get so i figured it was best to start them sooner rather then later. Depending on how much water i give them the night before the pots are not always light in which case i give them less water... I try and devide one Gal between 6 plants.

What kind of meter did you use to test the soil pH? Is that the runoff pH number measured with a water pH meter? I would have expected runoff pH to be lower.

You're not using a cheap soil pH tester are you? Those do not give readings that are accurate enough to be used as a diagnostic tool. Testing the runoff with a good water pH meter will give a better reading than a bad soil pH meter.

Also, how big are your pots? 1 gallon for 6 pots does not seem like enough water. Make sure when you water, that you thoroughly soak the soil until water starts coming out the drainholes in the bottom of your pots. Then don't water again until at least the top 2 inches of soil are completely dry. You don't want to be giving them just a little water every day or every other day. Remember overwatering means watering too often, without letting the soil dry before adding more water. It doesn't mean giving too much water in one specific watering session.

Hmmm. They are in 5 Gal pots. and i have a cheap soil tested that stays at a 7 to give me my soil Ph And it dose go down a slight bit after watering. I also have a More expensive digital Ph tester Called Eco Tester PH1 that i use for testing my water. I have not tested run off yet, I will however next time i water. I use to Grow in Hydro but i wanted to try soil to see what kind of results i would get.

Yeah, 6 five gallon pots will definitely need more water than 1 gallon spread between all of them. Just follow the watering instructinos I gave above and use as much water as it takes to get the soil adequately wet and water coming out the drainholes. You should need to use at least 1 gallon EACH, not 1 gallon for all. :)

Also don't use that soil tester anymore, it is not giving you accurate readings and will only cause you to make decisions based on incorrect readings. Your water tester is all you will need.
