Plant Leafs Curling on sides???

My Little girls leafs are curling on the side and I thought it was the light but the light is hanging a foot from the top of the plant. So what do you all think? The first picture is of my healthy plant and the other two are the same plant but you can see the leafs curling up... Thanks to all!:peace:

I have seen that before. Sometimes clones just throw a couple of fucked up leaves. It will be fine. Doesn't look serious to me.
 
No one seems to be able to answer what causes that, it seems like I read something about the stomata staying open and causing the leaf to dry out but I cant remember the cause or the cure. Ive been having the same trouble on a larger plant.
 
I have had that happen with seedlings in the past. I just ignored it and eventually it corrected itself.
 
Thanks to all. Its been like this for a few days now and I see nothing showing its dying or anything it just keeps growing. I starting to think its just a F****d up plant but I'll keep it growing. Thanks again!
 
It could be mag def. But if it's in anything but coco I highly doubt it. Some leaves just come out retarded at first. It will be just fine
 
Looks like it could just be a bad phenotype. Its not very expressive of anything else, true nute curl generally curls the entire leaf, whereas on that its like they are just bent at the ends. Very odd. The leaves do not look terribly healthy on thte sick plant, nor really the healthy plant. What strain are these - bag seed? Bad seed will throw a bunch of junk phenos out there... if its a good strain you need to really look at your pH and soil. We need more information on this grow to help diagnose.

A picture says a thousand words, but if we do not know what context those thousand words are in - we can not help. Please, provide a narrative - what strain, what soil, ph, nutes, lights, temps...
 
No way bad phenotype causes curling, all plants have an optimun growth zone you just got to get everything right, genetics is very rarely a problem in weed plants. I doubt soil pH but if you wanted to source some powdered dolomite lime and top dress a teaspoon in that would sort that.

I feel more like the leaves are trying to say too much or too little of somthing. Obviously work at the watering, have to make sure no overwatering and regular wet and dry cycles to the soil so roots can breath as well as drink, if ferts did nothing i would seriously consider ruling out cal/mag deficiency as a next step. And you think its healthy? And it must not be phenotype. A phenotype can indicate the way a plant's structure develops, and if its putting too many cells on the bottom of the leaf it will curl it. Its a deformity. Its funny that you have obviously not grown enough to have seen a bad phenotype expressed as such...

And if you looked at them you would notice the curling is minor versus the overall perseverance of the plants which is not good
 
Im having this problem at the minute im thinking any of these four reasons
1) Iv moved location and the water is more harder
2) getting watering wrong, maybe a little too much at first
3) used 2 different coco - canna proff and canna natural mixed together
4) Was thinking plant/seeds as its the first auto strain i have grown

Likes been said the plant looks P*ssed off but still grows strange

Well we will just have to agree to disagree, people think plants can undergo some wild and wonderfull mutations but in reality it is nothing like this and i have grown too many plants in my time as a gardener but never have i found a mutant phenotype that means cell growth is abnormal like that. Plant biology dont really work that way sorry, phenotype governs exsisting genetic makeup like height, yeild, thc percentage and leaf size. If gm foods were the benchmark you will see that this mutation is really just caused by the grower.

Seriously dude take genetics 101, you probably think its a hermie next!lol! You would need a leaf curling gene from a select genepoll and then it would probably take a few generations to breed this trait in and stabalise the plant!

I think more than this bad phenotypes relate to unsucessfull backcrossing when producing the strain. The next generations show un-uniform growth habits e.g. too tall or small yeild, growers complain its not what was advertised and hey presto the seeds are pulled of the market to stop the breeders getting bad reputation.

Seriously leaf curling is a genetic thing with weed! Pull the other one and dont get so arssy just cause your giving whack info! I've said what i said now look it up and try learn somthing!
 
Oh yer and i selectivly breed every seed i grow, fem white widow, backcrossing is a must to stabalise most strains which again is what i do. I'm all for talking but you sir just wana take wild guesses all the time. Not the first thread you have had bad info on, why dont you sit back and take part rather than shouting answers everywhere.

I know this site p!sses a lot of growers of like you, wana learn to chill out and join the comunity, learn more that way! As always we should start afresh and drop the silly arguments but i feel you dont take critisism likely!
 
My super cali haze plant as a seedling curled like that and it looked worse than overalll it corrected it self t tihis day i dont know why it did it but it fixed itself
 
A lot of growers say small problems cure themselves as the seedling grows into a small plant and then onwards, i even get it from time to time but as the roots spread out into the soil and the plant develops a stronger transport system it can reach and process more nutes and kind of fix its own small problems. Probably be ok for a while till either you add the right nutrients or the problem comes back worse cause the plant is needing too many nutrients and a small problem quickly becomes a big problem. Just my opinion on this and cannot verify it but it certainly seems like it. Peace
 
mine did the samething dont worry about it as it gets bigger they will fall off. keep watering it and it will be fine!
