plant question...(PICS)!!

ok..so i got a plant growing outdoors..
i've been wanting to trim some of the leaves..the ones that dont grow..i think it looks better with out them..
will it affect the plant in the future..

cut away, it will still grow!

just trim so it wont look so bushy..

the growfaq section recommends pruning one leaf per node in an alternating staircase pattern as you move up the plant.
