Do you have the mother of that clone or was it an outside source? Curious if the mother had a ton of purple in the stems.

I got it from a local dispensary here. Isn't GG4 supposed to have purple stems?

@Smokinggun he topped correctly. It's common practice to grow up until 6 nodes only to then cut at the 3rd. I've done it the way you're describing too but waiting a little longer may help the plant recovery quickly. Also since Tangoroo's plant is a clone his nodes are not symmetrical.

Might want to try lst next grow, l think growth is faster than topping and once dominance is broken all tops are exactly the same. And lots of tops.

You mean like this? I tried to make it so all the tops are close to the same height, for now. Going to let her rest and recover a bit before she starts calling me "IKE."

If I go that route, should I wait until 6 nodes again then top? I had planned on topping twice, depending on how things are going.

If only there was one strategy. If your gonna top multiple times you might wanna get going? 6th node is fine depending on what you want. Remember keeping some of the stem above top is a good idea not to crack and and to let the new shoots get one cm first

Im feeling good about my 1 top 6th node+ cropping(fingerpinch) here and there, and then scrog

Shit...might as well split her again on each side n go for 4...thats what I did with these...and even without LST'ing they'll bush out on their own

I did nothing but top split n immediately top each side again...keeps em low n wide n will trigger all sorts of other branching...don't be afraid of the scissors

Sorry for the late reply.
Mostly it’s topping 2-3 times at specific places and trained out horizontally creating 8+ cola’s per plant that are supposed to grow into individual monster cola’s. Here a pic with an example of some framework from my current grow, they were topped to the 3rd node, cleaned up under that of anything.

Isn't that exactly what I am doing? How do you know when dominance is broken? To me it looks like I have five tops, fairly even with one a little behind on growth... First time so I may be reading things incorrectly.

It's a FloraFlex Matrix. They aid in eliminating algae and help distribute feed evenly to the plant.

The plant is already topped. That breaks apical dominance.

She looks to be recovered just fine. Time to let her grow.
