i know light has nothing to do with it
???

transpirational pull
cytosolic pressure from buildup of photosynthates
nute ions that get processed in leaves
both get stored in vacuoles and or fed into the phloem both increasing pressure
etc pp

There has been mention that praying leaves was caused by intense light, or light avoidance mechanisms. That is what i feel has been firmly eliminated

Lets see if this is the day i fall on my face
Sorry i'm not a pic guy.I get it for a lot of folks it's the be all end all but i have nadda to prove.

What i have noticed over the last 16 years with leaves that are "praying" "FOR ME IN MY GROWS" comes down to temps and humidity.Kinda why when the OP mentioned his temps i was a bit surprised by how hard the plants were praying as if my temps get to any thing as such my plants don't seem to stand up like that.Just goes back to how no 2 grows are the same i guess.

I used to do some "bare bones" water only grows years ago.I would have praying leaves.Even when i was still under hps i seemed to run my rooms a bit higher in temp and humidity than what was considered the norm.Hence why i stated "IN MY GROWS" i felt a lot of the praying plants seemed related more to environment conditions

When in flower I can go into my room anytime during lights out and they are still praying.

Same.I do not have a big difference between night and day conditions. At most a 5-7 degree diff in temp and maybe 10% diff with humidity.

it's not that simple
just bc 1 situation shows one aspect doesnt say situation B is wrong
several independant mechanisms can lead to the same situation
just use 730nm in excess u see it can be dependant on light

You would shit your self if you see them turn side ways then back to normal…. Wait till flowering really starts , gonna shit your self more when they pray . And it doesn’t matter day or nite……
