Plants not looking happy

Here I have a Guava Dubstar. When I received this plant she was only a little bit smaller than how she is now. She had mites and purple stem patches all over her. I sprayed her with agrimec as I know this stuff does the trick.

She’s all tied down as I knew she would get too tall for me as I had planned a long veg, but not this long. I’ve had the plants for 2 months or so

Right so now I’m here I’ll quickly list off what’s going on with the grow.

I’m growing in a mix of compost and peat at a 50/50 rate, then I’ve chucked two or three handfuls of perlite in. Added a little blood and bone and a little kelp meal into the mix. The girl is in a 15l fabric pot. I also top the soil off with peat and then perlite as I’ve had a problem with gnats and got told this helps

This is indoors in a 4x4 (1.2mx1.2m) I’m running a 600w mh bulb, it was a 400w but thought they might like more light, changed this a week ago. Temps get up to 32 Celsius, but I usually have it brought down to 29 within a few hours. Humidity sits around 40-60% depending on if I’ve watered. Ive been using canna rhizotonic for foliage spray to try help them, this has been done with lights on as it helps raise humidity.

Watering has been questionable to be fair. I’ve started writing down more and I know that I watered her on the 1.12.19 (today is the 4.12.19) and haven’t since, I struggle to know how much I have her but it was a feed of some comfrey fpj. I usually do the lift test to see if she needs a drink, but lately I’m second guessing it a lot. The pots feel really dry at the top but heavy at the bottom

By the looks there is still mite eggs so there could be mites, I really need to get a loupe so I can investigate further. I’ve also had gnats, I still see the odd one flying around in the room, not as many but it’s still not good

I think that’s all the information, I’ve got another two plants that also came from the same person and I’ve had to help them come back. They also don’t look well but will get photos later IMG_6496.JPGIMG_6520.JPG

How long they in their light cycle at the time. it almost looks like they are re-vegged. IMO I might try getting a HPS or LED light and all will start getting better. I used a 600 MH for a very longtime and had issues all the time. Then I decided to buy a cheap Mars Light for around 80.00 bucks and have not had on light issue, It's really incredible that a light that uses so much less energy can make your babies look and be so healthy.

Every time I had issues that looked like that is was my timers, it wasn't keeping my cycle right, I keep mine at 20 on and 4 off just because it slows my growth rate as 18 and 6 they will grow a bit faster until the 12 n 12 flip. I would also check of any light leaks it don't take much, the moon light can cause an issue with retarding growth.

good luck hope you find what you need to do, I know there are a lot here with great info so there's always that.

Good day Bear420.
