Plants showing weird symptoms, pH out of control

So I did a res change Sunday. Started Tea on Monday. Last night about 12 hours ago, I pHed the buckets to 5.6 and started girls on their first veg nutes.

Woke up to new growth and was excited, until I checked my res. One plant drank about 35 ppm of nutes which is nice, other one drank a bit too, BUT, the pH went from 5.5 to 7.8 in both buckets in literally 12 hours.

What?

And I see brown algae again fighting the (heisenburg tea) bene's in one of the buckets I think. That plant has weird tiny tan spots on the uppermost leaves and the cots are completely yellowed and shriveling. The other plant showed a few weird dark necrosis spots when I came home last night, so that's why they got started on nutes.

Is it worth it to throw a dose of full strength aquashield/ZHO in there to see if it stablizes the pH a bit? The other bucket has a bit of white foam but no smell in either.

EDIT: FYI, the symptoms aren't as much the concern because new growth looks better on both BUT WHY the pH. It's been like that since I started. I cleaned out the buckets hard on Sunday too... thinking it'd give the tea a head start on whatever was going on, and everything looked okay until this morning when we're shooting towards pH's of 8 again.

I am just inches from removing them from the bubblers and sticking them in solo cups with soil. It's pissing me off and I just want to grow! lol

yoooo i had same thing with mine...after change leveled the ph and other day it shoots to 7.0 anyway this is what i did after res change i calibrated the water to 5.7 the other day i calibrated it again to 5.7 (it was 6.9 or something)and this helped a lot after checking the plant for 7 days the ph was 5.7 all the way.....i had some white foam i just increased res change from every 7 to every 4 days...( A bit of a headache but it worked preeety well)enjoyng my 9 bar right now..

Yeah fucking pisses me off I'm super mad right now. WHAT THE HELL! It's 7.8 in BOTH BUCKETS and i pHed them at 11:28 this morning for fucks sake.

They're definitely locked out of nutrients because they're both showing odd symptoms and now pH stress, curling a bit.

SOMEBODY has to know!!

Ok doing a pH test. Have distilled water from Safeway and it pHed at 5.8/3ppm!!! Odd. They also sell RO water at 42 cents a gallon. Not bad considering I only need 10 gallons every 10 days or so. But after one grow I imagine it becomes worth it to buy an RO system.

My tap is at 7.4. Taking buckets time every 90 minutes, keeping pH down.

Tracking pH of my tap water at intervals of 12 hours, along with the distilled and ppm of both.

Also tracking pH of my buckets. See if after a couple days things even out.

Woke up this morning, both buckets are 7.8 again. Been less than 9 hours... They were < 5.5 when I went to bed. Does ANYBODY know what is going on?

whats the model of ph meter it is calibrated properly?

It's just a pH meter off Amazon. I'm assuming it's calibrated -- when I check my filtered water it comes out to 7.0 and tap comes out at 7.4-7.8 depending on faucet, pH'd buckets read out at 5.7, 5.8, and test solutions are reading right

what ph down soliution ur using?as i had to go with phosphoric acid as the ph down bought from pet sho didn't worked.

Earth Juice natural down pH crystals, it's 99% citric acid, works definitely, about 1/4 tsp from 7.8 to 5.6 and holds for 2-3 hours, but something is going on other than that to make the pH go higher than my tap. Has to be algae. I'm treating some soil with ZHO, transplanting them into cups I think, I'm done fucking around. I want to try to get this Snow White to cloneable state so I can get some of that strain.
