I need some expert input so I thought I should post this here:

I've been using the same strains for the last few grows and am looking for a change. I use 400W MH (18/6) and 400w HPS (12/12) and use quality grow products - Fox Farm and or Black Gold + Earth Juice "Bloom" (18/6)and "Flower" (12/12) - I have ample area. My condition requires a heavier dose of medication and I am looking for a strain that will just lay me out and I'd like the a strain that will make me laugh. When I say lay me out I don't me some knock out but a heavy high - watching paint dry - type of high. I'm old school so it takes a lot to get me to where I need to be. Any suggestions on strains I should try please suggest. Looking for the highest quality high yielding strain. I'm willing to go 5 gallon pot - used to 3.5 or 3 gallons and my yield is low - 1 oz max per plant. I would like to grow enough once for 6 months or a year using a 400W or do you think I need to step up to a 600W?

I'm old school so I'm looking for the primo strains -

1 oz is not bad at all don't be hard on yourself. There are many potent strains nowadays. The popular ones you may of heard of would be the following: white widow, trainwreck, g-13, ak-47, etc. If you want to bump up to 600W then by all means do so if it is more yield you are going for. Just do not go to 1,000W too much electricity consumption. And if you have space then a 5 gallon bucket is perfect if your whole cycle is running about 3-4 months.

If you start with a good clone in a gal bucket you must yield far greater then 1 oz - the stalks in lesser sized buckets never get big enough to produce the better yields for your medicine.

i know this might relate to the topic, but I got a question me and a buddy are growing a few plants. it's been abuot 5wks and they are like 2ft tall with the biggest fan leaves measuring like 7-8in across. i say it's time to flower, but he wants to cut off the fan leaves to get more light penetration. my question is is it too early to cut off the fan leaves. if it is too early how much will it hurt, and if it's not to early how much will it help?
Thanks in advance.

Here is the key - you can flower anytime - the earlier you flower th eless your yield - most of the time. Look at my Gallery and you will see what a 7 week old plant all 12/12 look like. I let my plants grow 20 inches and 22 inches when I flowered them. I notice when you start from clone you get thicker stalk size and that woul dlead me to believe a higher yield.

Yo TwinTurboChronic - are those low riders from clones? They must be since your yield 1 oz plus. Tell me more...
