Please answer this question for me !! About smell of plants

Hi

I Bought a 3x3 small grow tent.. I live in a basement and the owner lives up stairs I wanted to know if I put 8 plants in the grow tent and put the tent in my laundry room (closed room) will it smell enuff for my landlord to smell it ?

So the smell would have to go though the tent and then though the closed room witch is small there is just laundry machine in there and the tent ?

I have never growing before I want to know if it will smell up the whole house and enuff for the landlord to call the cops on me or will it just stink up the tent and that room please help me out I dont want to go out and buy seeds and then have to cut them down before harvest time because of the smell getting to bad thanks for all your help

Yes, it will stink. You need to get your ventilation under control, and then get a carbon filter. How tall is your tent? What type of light are you using? There are a lot of factors that are vital for people to know if you want good advice.

Honestly, I think it's a bad idea for you to grow in the basement when he lives above you.

dude my veg room with these young clones would stink up my whole house if did not have a big ass carbon filter in which that set up ran me around 400 bucks

I will be useing two 120 watt LED grow lights or one 300 watt LED grow light. I will be moving out in feb into an apartment and I plan onto put them in a closet when I get to the apartment

My tent is about 6.5 feet tall and 3x3 wide I thought I might have to get a carbon filter but I dont want to throw down all this cash to grow a small amount if im just going to get roasted by my landlord.

I think I should mybe just wait untill I move outa this basement and get into my very own apartment witch I will rent aswell but at least I have more of a chance of it not stinking in an apartment because it will be a highrise that is concret building let me know your thoughts

good idea. It's still going to stink though.

A couple of my friends said it would stink the whole house up too.. I didnt belive them because I thought it would be ok in a room all by them selfs and in a tent ontop of that. my landlords wife is a person that will call the cops for sure I dont know about my landlord himself hes an alright guy but I dont wana risk it. I have already bought the tent

When you say its still going to stink.. I understand that its going to smell a little bit. I thought it would only stink like if we where sitting next to a pound of dry weed in a bag.. that amount of smell is ok with me I will put many airfreshers around the basement to try and cover up the smell as much as I can.

NO DUDE, trust me. Growing marijuana smells WAAY more than dried bud. That being said, a lot of people don't know what growing weed smells like. I'm telling you to go do it, but air fresheners WILL NOT cut it. Don't be stupid. It's a pungent smell that permeates everything around it unless you handle the odor issue.

it'll stink up the whole house. It'll go through the vents into the upstairs for a good 5 - 7 weeks total. Drying will be the worst of it...but w/o a doubt the upstairs neighbor will know BEFORE you even get to drying.

even though its 8 plants.. I trust you the only shitty thing is I already bought this tent mybe I should just sell it on ebay and fuck the whole idea I have never growin weed and I really wana give it a shot. If I did end up buying a carbon filter would it still smell a bit or would it be gone 95%

when i harvested this one plant and carried it inside to trim... it STUNK up the whole house... 1 plant... air fresheners only seem to morph the smell of weed into even better smelling weed that you wish you had...

so how well do carbon filters work will it get rid of the whole smell and do you think the landlord will still smell it or no it will get rid of the smell for sure like at least 95% of it

A proper set-up - 100% sealed tent, adequate sized carbon filter, and proper airflow you can knock out around 99% of the odors. But here is the problem, it is tough to get it right the first time - it took me a few tries and some tweaking my system before I got it 100% right. And unfortunately you don't have that luxury - you have such little room for error that I have to say I wouln't recommend you try it...and trust me I'm not saying that lightly. I wish I could say go for it, but I don't think it's worth the risk.

so do you smoke in the basement?

yea Im going to sell the tent on ebay or if any one wants it email me at [email protected] and I will sell it for what I bought it for Its a shinny tent 3x3 and 6.5 feet tall

its not worth going to jail over I live in vancouver canada and the laws have changed up here if you even get caught with a personal grow like under 10 plants its a year in the jail house

Never smoke in the basement I always smoke right out side my door.. my landlord knows I smoke it but hes not pleased with it hes not the type of a guy that is into drugs at all and his wife is even worst I personaly think if I did do this and got caught she would for sure call the cops
