I currently have a 1x1 box with flat white walls I have 2 23w 6500k 1600 lumens and and a 13w 2700k 880 lumen lights thats 4080 lumens in a 1x1. the lights are all 2 inches or less from the plant. do you think this will be enough for a little while? also i have been having some problems with the leaves wanting to sag, I think I might have over watered it but the soil is not that wet, but damp i also did not have a fan on it for 2 days, But the past 2 days i have had it on it and it is not seeming to get better.

that should be enough light to veg a plant with, but not really anywhere near enough to flower with, but for now, you should be ok with that amount of lumens..
now on to the sagging leaves.. i think that you hit it on the head when you thought that you maybe overwatering.. over and under watering are two of the biggest newb mistakes made.. i would just suggest waiting till that plant and the soil are almost bone dry before you water them again.. if the top of the soil seems a lil hard to the touch and it takes a second or so for the soil to soak in and penetrate the top soil level, i would say that is what your looking for.. after that, just wait till the top two inches or so of soil feel dry when you put a finger into the soil before watering.. always water till you see about ten percent runoff coming out of the bottom of the pots..

That light will only be enough for new clones and seedlings. How many plants do u have and how old are they? Pics? Dont water anymore the sagging might be from heat whats the temperature in that lil box those lights can and will fry ur plants if that box is sealed with no venting.

I am only gonna grow one, and its 1 week 1 day old from when it sprout. it does have a good fan on it and sways a little from the air will that be ok the box feels just slitly warmer then the house but almost no difference

Yes you want your plant to be swaying always it tears the cells apart like your muscle when you workout then it rebuilds stronger. Is the box sealed off with venting? You're gonna wanna control the airflow for when it starts stinking unless thats not a problem for you.

na it is not a sealed box but, the smellier the better lol but it does swayy pretty good. but do you think im putting to much light for only 1 week old, or just to much water?

Haha definitely not enough light!

Too much water I'd say, as long as you keep the box open then heat shouldn't be a problem especially with a fan in there.

Just let her sit for a couple days n see if she doesn't perk up

What kind of soil is it in?

some bag of miracle grow that said feeds up to 6 months and helps prevent over and under watering i wanted to use soil with fert already it in cause my last plant has fert poisoning so this time im not gonna mess with it. how far would you keep the lights from her?

CFLs dont generate alot of heat so about 2-4" away. I've never used MG soil because I hear its too acidic and is just bad for mj; but there are alot of nice grows using that soil so its up to you. I use Black Gold potting mix with coconut fibers it has no food in it so I control exactly how much the plants get.

ok kool i will defiantly look into that, do you think my plant could be in lock down from imbalanced ph? i heard if you take tap water and let it set over night the ph will drop. and it will be better for the plant, also what do you suggest i water her with, rain water?

No not nute lock droopy leaves just mean over or under watered usually.

Tap water pH and ppm varies from place to place so you should test yours before you use it. Also let tap water sit out for a day to dechlorinate so it doesn't burn the tips of ur leaves.

I heard of people using rainwater I think you have to filter it but outside plants don't seem to mind..

I used distilled water because the pH is 7 the ppm is 0 and its only 50 cents a gallon ready to use.

Just happy to share what I know

Your lights should be fine for another week, pictures would be very helpful. You definitely are going to want to add some more lights pack as many as possible in that box without overheating.

so 4080 shouldnt be to bad? i dont want nothing huge just a little plant is all im asking for =] but what kind of light would you suggest me getting a 42w 6500k?

Yes get the biggest fucking bulb out there haha! maybe 2 or 4 of those 42w.

You can calculate how many lumens you're putting out but not every lumen reaches ur plant so keep that in mind. Do you have reflectors on the lights? They really help you can make cheap ones for clfs out of pop cans
