Please help identify this, clear slime, mucus, algae?

So i got this clear slime mucus looking thing forming on the roots, air stones and it even got on my ph pen. I cannot for the life of me figure out what this is exactly and how to get rid of it.
I bought some clones and noticed they where not doing well , looked at them and noticed this stuff. I threw them out, ran a bleach through my system for 2 days , washed and re washed like 5 times then bought new teen clones and now same slime is back.
I need help please figuring out what this crap is and how to destroy it for good.
Did some reading on here and noticed a few posts from @Heisenberg talking about what might be my case, however not sure.
I dunked my plants in h2o2 yesterday and added some souther ag into the res but doubtful its going to help.
any help is appreciated, i really want to find out what this is exactly.

i have a chiller set at 69 so im doubtful its the temp , also after loosing 12 clones i cleaned out the whole system, ran bleach through it, bought new teen clones this time and same clear slime mucus is back.
i just want to know what this is and how i can treat it,
right now i got some Physan 20 and running that through the system. i looked inside the system and that clear slime is everywhere.

right now im not worried about the friendly bacteria from dying, im trying to identify what this outbreak is , cure it then go back to southern ag. if that makes sense, not sure what im doing anymore.

I read a post somewhere awhile back where someone had the same problem and I think the problem had to do with nutrients not mixing correctly...like 1 was organic and the rest were synthetic, but when combined they created the slime within a few days.
They cleaned with bleach, h2o2 etc with no effect...it kept coming back.

that would make sense but im using lucas formula with calmag, so zero organic nutrients. this is a big pain since im about to lose 12 more 2ft plants

What about pH up and down...do you use them at all...do they match your other nutes as far as organic vs synthetic too?
Lucas formula is just a combination of nutrients...it doesn't make them organic or synthetic...what exact brands do you use?

general hydroponics bloom + micro, and yes i use general hydroponics ph down and general hydroponics calmag. nothing else.
also for reference i have another setup right next to it, with 20 buckets and i give same formula same nuts same everything, that one is 100% slim mucus or whatever the hell this is free.

There sure is a lot of confusion these days regarding the Lucas formula. It uses General Hydroponics FloraMicro and FloraBloom. That's it. Anything else is not Lucas formula.

I know the calmag is extra but I don't see any side effects plus I give very very little. Like .25ml per gallon just in case,
So this slime has nothing to do with calmag or Lucas formula since my other system is perfectly fine

if you can get your hands (quickly) on flying skull z7 ( i think it's z7), it is supposed to get rid of the snot or slime that you have.

did you say you tried chlorine too?

You need to throughly clean your system first. Use warm water with lots of bleach and a bit of soap and scrub it down. Nothing will help until you get rid of the slime thats in the system

Its probably coming in with those clones or in the rapid rooters if they havent been sterilized.

Not sure why I was quoted...I'm aware of the "Original Lucas Formula" is only GH FloraMicro @ 8ml + GH FloraBloom @ 16ml per gal of RO water.

But anyways, I hope you get that stuff cleaned out of the system @Darknes01...I'd be stripping it apart piece by piece...stripping my pumps into small pieces and every nook and cranny I could find...lol

@rkymtnman I didnt try chlorine, i used bleach 1st time around with high dose ( no plants in it) and let it circulate for about 3 days, i guess it didnt help. also i looked up z7 and on their website it states that it is not designed to kill bacteria? am i reading it correctly?

@waterproof808 I am also thinking this came from the 1st set of clones i purchased from someone, the little clones died shortly after ( about a week later ) and even after the bleach treatment it came back


I ran Physan 20 @15ml for a 40 gallon system and today drained and cleaned the whole system again.
added fresh water and 2ml of physan 20 , hoping just hoping this will help if not then im tossing out another 400 dollars worth of teens

Could you chop some clones off now? or are the plants too far gone?
Take the pump apart as much as you can and clean it too (don't void warranty tho).
Remove the air stones and run the system as basics as you can...if it doesn't come back then start adding pieces back in 1 by 1.
I'd prob replace air stones as well because they can hold tiny particles in the pores and you'll just be fighting the same fight over and over.

Na the plants look like shit lol, wouldnt want to clone from them, my biggest issue is that my 1st system with 20 healthy ass trees in it should of been in flowering as of 13 days ago,
I build a new system and added 2 more lights so got the teens instead of small clones so i can flip the 2 systems to flower together,
well here i am now 13 days past the 30 day mark for vegging system 1 and still have not flipped to flower because of this peace of shit bacteria or whatever it is that is now killing system 2 plants. So if in a day or so they dont recover then tossing them out and flipping the 1st system to flower.

I'm cheap and poor so I try to save as much as I can...if its even slightly green it stays...hence my name...make the dam thing grow....lol
