hey guys my plant is 3 weeks old and i notice near one of the leafs there are 2 tiny black flies. what i did is put some apple cider vinager and a little dish soap also half inche of a potatoe on the soil to collect the larva will this get rid of all the flies!!!!!

use gnatrol... it will kill the larvea........ and then use a spray for the foliage.....look it up on the internet...

This man knows his stuff.


Fungus fly lava eat all your roots so get some duct tape hanging above your plants to kill the adults so they cant lay anymore. then gnatrol.

another thing you can do is put small stones all over the pot so them little cunts cant get out when they wanna fly about, has to be about an inch of stones tho.

Did you consider that vinegar is a PH down... and putting that in your soil can drop it.. I'd get a fly strip and hang it near the plant...replace the top 1.5" of soil and make a dish soap and water spray.. ( I do that at the 1st of season and no problems).... before going to chemicals, or a lot of $$$... just a thought...... Luck.:mrgreen:

You can buy lady bugs at a good nursery and they might eat them.

I don't know much about them but everybody says they eat just about any pest that eats fruiting or flowering plants.

Just remember whatever you spray on your herbs will go into your body eventually. Food for thought.
