Please Help -- Need a glue that works!!

I need a glue to connect black vinyl tubing to pvc buckets. The glue needs to hold the tubing in place, be inert once dry, be hella strong and most of all, BE COMPLETELY WATERPROOF! I tried using silicone glue and it doesn't like the PVC at all, it leaks!

My setup:
4 buckets connected in series by vinyl tubing (2 holes in each bucket 3" from bottom for intake and outtake), with recirculating pump to complete the circuit. The water level is currently about 6" above the tubing, so the tubes need to be able to hold the weight of that water and not leak at all! Please help me find a glue that works and is very strong! Fairly urgent!

Mismatched materials rarely work together but try Gorilla Glue. Read the instructions FIRST! Then caulk around it with waterproof food grade sealant inside and out and hope for the best. But, if you are having trouble now, why not just start over and use the right stuff? If not now, when?

I was going to say Gorilla glue as well and seal it round the outside with silicone. :D

just did 2 coats of silicone and 1 coat of "flex seal" ill let u guys know how it works out :) (flex seal just on the outside)

have you tried a glue gun you know the ones with the sticks wot u heat up
yep, or simply get the glue gun sticks, melt them with a lighter and smudge it on - recently repaired a PAS leak on my car with this stuff. Cant fault it for strength - should remain strong and watertight on the PVC.

depending on the size of tubing or exactly what your doing (attaching to the bucket or going thru the bucket), ive always had leakproof connections between say 5gal buckets and black tubing using bulkheads or rubber grommets. most hydro suppliers have between 1/8th inch up to 1 inch connectors of each style
