I am trying my hand at indoor after a few seasons of out door. After just two days of transplanting I am getting a lightening of the leaves, accompanied with the yellowing of the center of some of the old leaves. I am using the three part general hydroponics noots , on rockwool medium is this a deficiency , overdose or possibly at 18 inches are my 1000s to close?

What is the strength of your nutrients? My literature says 1/3 to 1/2 strength. also, your light may be too close. put your hand at the top of your plants. if your hand is too hot, your plants will be too hot.

...Id first check the ph levels which could possible lockup certain mineral intake...

...hydroponics tend to be more acidic. also the rockwool requires some conditioning...

18 inches is a little close for a 1000 on MOST plants. GH nutes are some of the best around. Here's what I'd do. Flush the rockwool with 5.5 PH RO water. Rockwool has a high PH and early in the grow tends to raise the PH. You can test the waste water to confirm what I'm saying. Once flushed, feed with 900ppm GH nutes and continue to test the waste water. If the waste water is above 1300ppm, reduce the strength of your nutes. Also test the PH of your waste water. The waste water is much more important than the water you are feeding it. I have fed large rockwool slabs with 6.0 PH water and had the waste water be 7.5 PH. If the leaves look narrow and are folding up, raise the light.
