Revolutions

Covers histories of revolutions in Europe and the Americas from England in the 1600's through to the end of the Russian Revolution in the 1900's. Mike Duncan bagan the series in 2013 and is just now finishing up in June 2021. He's a good story teller and keeps his listener engaged through various tools that a story teller uses. It's nothing like Ms Miller's US history class.

the English revolution, US revolution, French revolution, Haitian revolution, South American revolution, the European economic upheaval that led to failed revolutions in the early to mid 1800's, Mexican revolution, and the Russian revolution. In each series, he covers history prior to the revolutions, the people, motivations, issues, shenanigans, corrupt acts, betrayals, executions, assassinations and aftermath. Who needs a detective novel when we have real-life skulduggery?

If I were to pick one that contained the most surprises was the Mexican Revolution. But I have listened to and liked them all.

When I had a Spotify account it was super easy to find and listen to podcasts, not so much anymore with my apple tunes account which I am thinking about quitting now.
On Spotify I would listen to the morning Joe and Michelle Obama’s podcast. I would like to listen to Bruce Springsteen and Obama’s podcast
Somehow.

The NYT has one called Day X. It's a heartwarming story about neo-nazis in Germany preparing for the day they overthrow their gub'mint.

I have Spotify again and listened to this one today and happy to say really like her storytelling. She kinda hooked me with this Charles Manson podcast. At first I was a bit taken aback by her voice but it grew on me quickly and then I was realized she has some really interesting insights .
