We are so proud of our Australian Cattle Dogs! Not many people have heard of them but those that have, understand they are a rare and hard to find breed that are very intelligent, hard working dogs. They can withstand extreme temperatures, are very agile and make wonderful companions as they are one owner dogs.

Once you have one, you must stick with them or they will become depressed and will not adjust well to a new owner. They are wonderful, energetic and happy dogs that are hard headed as hell and must have a firm master to keep them on good behavior.

They will push the hell out of you and make their own rules otherwise!

P.S. They're hell on Frisbees :D

We have puppies!!! :D

It was a long and arduous night but the ol girl got the job done with minimal help from me.

6, 4 girls and 2 boys! :) She did a great job though I did have to intervene a couple of times and help the little ones out of the gate. They appear to be very healthy and of average size and weight. I was certain there was one more to come however no debut, so we shall see! They can go as long as four hours between pups and it was nearly an hour after the fifth before number six came along.

Have a peak! The pics are a tad bit dark due to the whelping area--to keep the mama cozy (but be warned, some are pretty graphic so if you have a weak stomach I'd suggest skipping to the end to see the whole litter ;))

She's such a great mom!!

I had to cut the cords on all of them, turns out those suckers are pretty tough and mom was having a hard time chewing them off. That should tell you something because this old girl eats like a ravenous hog and goes through bones like they're sticks of butter!!! :)

Another head first..when I first saw this little guy I was sure he was stillborn but he was just getting started! Once I cleared the sac from his head and gave him a little rub, he was off to the buffet. :)

One big happy family! Cheers, you did good girl!

Lots of little ones ......love those kind of dogs
They really are awesome little critters! I'd never met one till I met Cat, he'd been telling me for years that I needed one. Now I have 8! :D Our boy dog is a killer frisbee guy, he loves the hell out of them. And tennis balls...oh lord...never say the word Frisbee or ball unless you wanna see hell unleashed on four paws..lol
