What do some of you all do with your dead plant material after harvest? I was considering putting all of mine in a trash bag, expose it to high levels of ozone for a few days to eliminate any smell, and burning all of it in a fire one night.

Also, what about soil for you non-hydro growers? How do you dispose of it? I'm thinking about cutting the stem as low as possible and dumping the soil in a wooded area or something.

Anyone have some alternate suggestions? Any help is appreciated in advanced :bigjoint:

Firstly, I would suggest using all the unsmokeable plant material for ganja butter. You can make some high grade butter with the best/ trichiest cuttings, but even the big stems and stuff are good for somethin... other than that, just cut it all up small, throw it on the compost heap, throw your soil on top of that, and you'll be fine, I don't see what the problem could be.

I don't have a compost heap and I am not going to build one just for this specific purpose. If the police were ever in my backyard for any reason (not saying I would give them one), but if they were and started looking through my rich black ocean forrest soil in the compost heap, then there may be probable cause for a warrant if any plant matter remains. I should use what is salvagable for cannabutter though. Thanks!

I go the bubble hash route, and all plant material goes into the fireplace when I have a good blaze going. As for the dirt, I use it around the house in the flower beds. I hate to throw out anything I've put so much love into & to be honest the rhubarb & berry bushes love the stuff.

After harvest I pull the main stem/root ball out of the soil, and it gets burned. The soil I just use to fill in holes around my house/yard.

Trim for cooking hash ect, soil, left over coco, and the big fan leaves just get mixed into the compost heap. Hardly any plant material is really that identifiable after a day or two in compost pile. If you don't want to do that just bag it and dump it at wal mart or something like the other guy said.
