Excellent pics and growth!

Do the CFL underneath make a good amount of difference? Would mylar on all walls/underneath/over the lights make just as difference with a T5 4 bulb 4 foot 20K setup in roughly 2 deep and 4 wide closet space? There will be probably 4 inches in between each 5 gallon pot in which will be growing Lowryder #2 Auto...

Any thoughts or suggestions?

Hi BuddhaDawg, I would suggest looking into some sort of Good ventilation, fans and the like, must provide fresh air..

Pilgrim, that is an excellent suggestion.

I figured I would get a couple small fans and point them in a fashion to keep the air circulating in the closet and promote strong stem structure. I do not think T5 4ft 4 bulb 20K lights will not really produce much heat. Am I mistaken?

I also plan opening up my closet door completely everyday when doing my check/maintenance. I have a couple of nice air filters I can run if needed be, I used to use them to get allegries out of the air. The room which has the closet also has an overhead fan that might help if necessary. I also have some nice lavender/sage freshener for the room if necessary. I also bought a carbon monoxide/fire smoke/fire alarm just for that room.

I do not think that Lowryder #2 auto are supposed to have a strong smell...they are advertised as "neutral smelling" but I am prepared.

Do you think a couple of small fans in my 2 deep, 4 wide and 7 1/2 tall closet will be sufficient for 600 watt, 20K, T5 light... of course I might add two 150 CFL's on the side... I plan on growing 4 plants.... There is a metal shelf which is at 5 feet height, this is where I will hang the T5 fixture. The top of the closet does have a 18" x 18" covered cutout that goes directly to the attic...My guess is a good amount of heat will find its way through that covered cutout...

I do not know if I adequately described my closet or not (pictures are here post #29)...but any thoughts?

Thanks for the suggestions!

T5's produce plenty of heat despite what you hear. The difference is that the heat they produce is more spread out, so you won't have as concentrated of a hot spot as an HID, but watt for watt it's the same heat produced (keep in mind that T5's run at a PF around .6 and HID run at .99-1 so it's not quite as straightforward as comparing the wattages on the package, d'oh).

Anyway, I have a similar setup, closet with a vent to the attic. I got an 8" centrifugal fan and hooked it up in the attic with ducting to the vent. I also took an oscillating fan which blows back and forth over the t5 bulbs (keeps it cool enough to put plants within 2"). The heat will rise, but I really would suggest getting a fan to cycle the rooms air every minute or so.

T5s will flower I dont care what the people that have never used and run there fucking mouths about shit they know noth........ Excuse me. Check the pics.

Please note that T5s do through a lot of heat compared to t12 and t8, even more so with HO bulbs. Im electrician and work with those fixtures a lot. They dont produce as much as heat as HID lighting but way more then other flourescents models

Its all about the T5 ;) I prefer NOT to use the "grow" and "bloom" bulbs as they have poor quality checks....the bulbs are meant for "cheap" setups... check my thread to see what i mean.. There are many T5 out there search around that have great color match for "blue" and "red" wavelength that really dial in what the plant needs.. without producing wasted lumens and get tons of PAR...
