Pot doesn't Smell like Pot

So i just got done with my first grow, 9.6 oz finished wieght roughly (pics are in the grow journal in my signature). My question is, it doesn't smell like yer everyday "pot" smell. I've never smelled anything like this. It kinda has a sweet smell, almost like a flower garden. Not sure if the smell will come as it dries even further, but ya, even my Designated Provider says it kinda has a different smell. I'll have to see what the smoke is like later, but for now It's kinda throwing me off, anyone else have something similar happen or know whats up?

drying and curing will make it smell better. if im correct whats making it smell different at harvest is the chlorophyll in the plant matter. it evaporates through drying and curing.

This was grown though, not bought.

Like others have mentioned the drying process will bring on that smell you're after. Freshly harvested bud isn't going to smell like the bag you bought last week, give it time, be patient.

i've done 3 different strains so far(from purchased seeds) - none of them smelled remotely the same
one was a piney/hash(nl#5), another was some kind of minty liquorice(PPP), and the last one was like some kind of perfume(brainwreck)
you're going to find a lot of different odors out there, and like others mentioned, it needs to dry to let the 'true' odor come through

Ya, I'm curing now, on day 2. when I open the jar, it just smells sweet, I don't really have anything to compare it to as far as smell goes tho lol. Anyways, I'll give it some more time, they are still a tad damp

Yup I had a batch of nugs I clipped too early and It took almost a month of curing before I remembered (and therefore noticed) a distinct shift in odor from a 'grassy' almost sharpness into a mellow dank 'cheesiness'. I had no such experience with the lower buds of the same plant which I clipped a little too late...
