Potentiometer wiring question

Hi all. I'm trying to wire up 2 Bridgelux Vero 29's to a Meanwell HLG-240h-C "B type" that has cables to hook up to a pot. The pot I'm using is Bourns 100k(See picture).

I'm just confused as to how to wire everything up. Can anyone give me a hand? Maybe someone has pictures of their own setup using a pot?

I don't know much about electrical stuff so the dumber you assume I am the better ;)

white wire gets the 10k resistor and blue on middle and left or right for which way u want it to dim-counter or clockwise.

No. Solder a 10K resistor to terminal #1 on the left and the other end of the resistor to the white wire.
I was under the impression that resistors where not needed. So you're saying I need a 10k resistor soldered on to the left(unused in my diagram), then REMOVE the white wire(green in my diagram) and solder it to the other end of the resistor?

Correct. It's not required but you get the most out of your driver that way, as I understand it. It's the way I was advised here.

Is the resistor to make sure you're getting the full 100k?
If that's the case, you don't really need a 10k resistor if you use a switch to disengage dimming. Even with a 95k pot I notice I'm drawing only like 1-3 watts less then with the dimming circuit fully open.

I bought 30 dimmers from China and they all range from 88-109k . So I actually had to mark out 50% power on each of my knobs as they're all in slightly different positions

I made it over to Radio Shack earlier and picked up some resistors. I'm hoping to start getting things put together tonight!

Awesome glad you got it together!!!Nice contained system good job. Now rinse and repeat with your next build.Always search for ways of improving the builds and follow new tech that come out. Check out the quantum boards by Northern grow lights they have been the buzz lately and the CXM-22 from cobkits.

Thanks for all the help!

I've only run it for short periods so far(1-3 hours) to make sure things are ok. Those heatsinks are beasts and seem to do a great job of cooling the cobs. The driver Meanwell HLG-240h-C which I'm running @ 1750mah does get pretty hot, I have never encountered or used leds before so I have no real basepoint for how hot it should run. I can touch it and hold my hand on it for 5-10 seconds before it starts to hurt haha.

I also may need additional fans, right now the temps ranged from 77-81F which from my googling seems to be the absolute upper limit of what you want it to be at. I'd love to keep it under 80 for sure.
